XTRAP useless error message

When I load crossfire, the mutant thing displays and starts loading textures, etc. Then an XTRAP error message displays, and does not tell me anything useful about the cause of the error. I have tried reinstalling the game, disabling my antivirus, and uninstalling my antivirus.
