if i loading the game the loading resources will stack up @ 1 percent and then 1 box will appear and said CF file Watcher, FILE WAS CHANGED OR FORGED GAME WILL BE SHUT DOWN FORCE.. how to solve this problem please anyone help thank's

I too have this problem. As of now I have no idea how to resolve it. We may need to wait until the complete setup executable is released; version 1028 at which point we will need to download the game - again - and reinstall.

ye you gotta w8 for the 1028 download =\ i dont see why some people are getting this problem mine patched fine i havnt had a problem except the buddy server bein down >.<

you could actualy try and download the most up to date one again from the site then just try and patch again

Have you all tried installing to a different directory? That may fix it.

im having the same damn problem ive restored my computer to previous days weeks even months, and ive uninstalled/reinstalled 5 times this is ****ing me off. I just want to know what makes us have this problem and not everyone else thats on crossfire atm.

I have uninstalled the previous version, downloaded the current version via torrent (1027) and installed on a separate drive and watched it go through its auto patching process. the same error occurs. splash screen and error @ 1%. i've removed all traces of subagames from the registry (as much as possible) and do not think it is relevant to a previous install of CF.

if anything, my computer is up-to-date and healthy. given the nature of microsoft and game developers, I'm sure this causes problems somewhere.

as my computer was busy finishing other, more important tasks i did not restart my computer in safe mode or with most of the non essential bs disabled to see if crossfire would then work. It is not an anti-malware program causing problems as they are all disabled. The only other diagnostic process is to run through a safe mode/clean boot install/run process and there is the small chance that it may then work although I expect it not to.

I don't have problems with any other games or software on this machine I put together myself. Cross Fire gives me the most grief (gameguard bs) and never likes to work well after a major update.
