Patching Cross Fire! Solutions - Read Me now!
The servers are down for the moment while we run maintenance and patch the game.
Patch notes will be posted very soon.
When the servers come back up however a lot of people are going to be trying to update the game at the exact same time. This may cause errors for your downloads or installs.
The most likely error you may get is one that will look like "File has been changed or forged....".
This is 99.9% likely caused by the traffic on the servers and a botched install/patch between your computer and our server. DO NOT PANIC. This does not mean your cross fire is dead forever.
It likely means that you need to wait a little while to let the bulk of people get patched up so that you can get in when the traffic is less and update your game.
Please do not come here and post in multiple threads with your issue. Please keep similar issues to similar threads. Most of the errors caused by updating the game are due to traffic. And remember, your best bet when encountering an install error with CF is to completely uninstall the version of CF on your system and re-download the game from a new mirror and install it again.

To be honest, I'll be happy if people post all the spam in this thread rather than on the boards.
That way I can hope that they would have at least read the thread.
Yes the Servers continue to be down. It's only 2:45am here so there's at least another 15 minutes before you can be allowed to worry publicly. HA. -

so if CF doesnt start at all, its an kind of ''error'' to? ( i click start buttom, but it doesnt start, ) -
lol the long awaited patch is finaly here!!! finaly we can have a day or two with hack free games before the hack providers update there hacks.
it would be great to get a weekly update on the hack protection system but i guess thats just wishfull thinking.
hope the zombie mode is releced on our version and hope its releced soon, been looking foreward to that mode for a LONG time. -

i think it is a wish to,, ( to do a weakly update for the hacking system,. )
but indeed, ill hope the zombie mode comes out, Or new weapons

The servers are still down and will remain down until we're ready to open them up. Which should be soon.
For now just be patient.
Version.ini problems are going to be related to the server traffic and updating the game. Just be patient, grab some coffee and sit tight until the servers are up. -

or justkeep trying, than u know it fastly and easyly,
