I think this greatly requires attention!

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen,

I want to address this topic to the fact that I personally was observing during gameplay.
I want to say in the beginning that I play only few times a week, so I am not really active.

However, this is the following fact starts to become if not an issue, but a not very good thing for sure. (It is my personal opinion)

I see alot of players that are less than 16 years old. Not that there is anything wrong with it on the first place, BUT, there children cannot understand and respect other players in the room.

How do I know that they are young?
a) Manner of speaking
- Swear ALOT
- Get extremely offensive when told to be nice and respect others
- Extremely flammable - get ****ed off easily for nothing
- Calling everyone hacker who kills them
b) Name
- Name_1997

c) Making big deal out of nothing

Yet, there is a downside for young players playing

a) If they are 12-15 years old, then.... well, they kill people, and it has great impact on their mentality. No wonder alot of american kids are failing or hate school.
b) They spend their parents money to get stuff (12-15 years old buy weapons to kill others??)

Also, there are alot of racist comments coming out of them. I see alot of "asians noob", etc.
Young kids are making racist comments in game? This can definitely mean that they might do it in real life too. Besides, child grows up hating other nationality or certain ethnic group just because they are better gamers or play better than they?

The reason I am writing this is because it starts to become uncomfortable to play. If you tell kid to shut up, kid starts to swear, etc, which is really bad by itself. There are MANY MORE ways to entertain yourself, rather then letting 12-15 child to play bloody game and see him/her growing up with little knowledge about outside world, with hate towards other ethnic group, with simple desire for violence.

I believe players and crossfire should take more responsibility about uprising issue and perhaps do something about it.

The young generation is being raised in violence, hate and blood, which is not where the world should go, ( I m more talking about North American region, since in Europe and South America the situation is by far better, yet also addressing all the regions), so if you want the upcoming generation to be like that, leave it as it it, and if you DON'T want that to happen, please do something about it.

Thank you for reading.

  • so true nicely said, yeah cf needs some sort of a age restriction when reigestering for an acc and downloading the game.

Theres no way CF is going to do that. There trying to run a business here. -.-
  • 12 year olds are the best to kill as they QQ like no other player i have seen.

I agree, and that what I think is a problem. The whole thing is for money, which simple are pieces of paper or numbers that exist in the cyber world. (electronically)

This suggests that moral values of children and older people are needed to be sacrificed in order to get money. This is, in my opinion, is pathetic, but, that how capitalistic world is setup.

Not to mention what "the desire for money" by Goldman Sachs caused in Europe and North America.
  • Very well posted Freedom. I agree 150%.
CF may be a business, but they do have a responsibility to uphold as far as age restriction, and monitoring.

Thank you. I felt the need to bring the topic up. I m glad people agree with me :)
  • While i agree with you im sorry to say there is absolutely nothing that can be done about this in relation to the game. It has to be adressed by the parents of the world.

As lost and twisted as the world is becoming. its not surprising that these are the attitudes of kids playing online games. Again i sympathize but nothing you say in this forum will ever change that.

So i would say continue speaking what you believe and try to make change where you can, but this isnt the place to do it.

    I fully understand that.
I am not striving to force a change in the game itself, since it is impossible to do with the resources that I posses. However, what I can do is to address the issue. Some people may take it into consideration, some not, yet, I made myself clear about the situation.

There are tons of games of similar kind, but since I am young compare to most, I m a bit sad to see how the upcoming generation grow up. Not that it is major issue yet, but it can be in next years to come.
  • I agree completely, they're arguably the main reason people get kicked so much.

However Max_Skillz is right, it's down to the parents to monitor what their children are on.
  • Was just looking through some posts and that what I found:

Thats racism. So if a person is from different ethnic group he is automatically considered bad in this game?

Since the game is in Canada, such comments violate:
-Canadian Charter of Right and Freedoms
-The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UN) - Article 1, Article 6, etc
    - Canadian Criminal Code
    - Other lawful documents from other countries

Tbh dude, the BRs pretty much started this war, they'll kick anyone from rooms if they're not Brasilian, and shout 'gringo' at you or w/e. It wouldn't annoy me, but this IS a NA/Canada/UK game.

To be honest, I never encountered the problem on myself (I am Second Lieutenant 3), or not that I recalled recently.

However, I see alot of racism comments TOWARDS Brazilians, regarding ethnic group and language.

I understand your point, however, there should be no bias in the situation, since you never know who is on the other side of the screen.

Regarding "NA/Canada/UK game", I never seen anywhere where it stated that it is NA/Canada/UK game. This is international game and if you "close borders" to others, then it is discriminations towards others.

People simply need to respect each other, but since I greatly mentioned the young children playing it, they have a very vivid idea regarding respect towards others. ( In-Game i mean)

:) If I was to be a nerd, would I play the game? I simply know alot of useful things that help me when I need it :)

Yeah I agree, the racism side of it is pretty stupid, people have even called me BR (because of my last name) and said similar abusive things I've seen directed at others, even though I'm English O_o lol

Z8 only has a licence to host Crossfire in NA/Canada/UK, which is why they're the only places holding servers.

Where you live, they teach you everything wrong with America. In America, we look at other countries in pity. We know what's wrong with our country, but the general opinion, as well as mine, is one of indifference.

Ummm I doubt people on the forums care (I know I don't). Besides they probably think we're saying hello to them or something.

At least someone intelligent on this forum.
First thing , I would say that this not the fault of CF but the irresponsibility of PARENTS.This is not an easy thing to do as , in fact the system should first re-educate the adults . CF can`t do any thing about it cause any one can make an account and can`t get proof whether it`s an adult or a kid applying for the acc.
Internet is a huge MONEY industry , and no body who are eager of money will care about those things you mentioned . SAD TRUTH.

    :eek:OUPS a BR . F11 looooooooooool:p
Even if my name has got nothing to do with Brazil, people think that I am BR . Cause I sometimes defend them on the forum lol." I hate racists things "

If you knew what was wrong with your country your 2 towers would have stand still .Just to quote that and avoid to go further around " like kids kill the teacher or friends a school "
You have a well chosen name = show no hope
  • The fact that crossfire is free makes it more difficult to control the "must have" age of players.
If it was to buy it from a store, kids would need their parents permission at least
