Issue with Public ban list being removed
Z8 feels the Crossfire community is slowly decreasing due to the ban list being public. I can say why that is, cause after so many reports certain top clan players will not be banned. I have worked with GM's in the past on anti hack matters and recently came up with the only method to beat VIPS hack companies from having a functioning hack. That is a tideous method meaning every hour you download the new VIP and send the coding to the anti hack company they then make an update for it. This requires alot of activity from a GM and mods. Which Z8 I know doesn't do that, I have spoken with Z8 reps before on the matter in a different environment as player to player conversation which turned into Mod to Mod convo. Anyways The rep from Z8 told me straight to my face that xtrap does its job at blocking hacks. Told me that an hour after a hack is out it doesn't work anymore. This is wrong, I know that the public hack from a very popular hack site had a working aim bot running thanksgiving for 3 months on just the same update. Once CF was patched with new content the hack stopped working....... for 5 mins.... Well As my title states I feel having a public ban list is helpful for us players who constantly report players and know they the GM's are actually doing something. Its not the list thats making pple stop playing.
Its having to send in daily reports on the same person for obvious hacking but some how the gm's never get around to baning the person. You may know a player by the name Turk - Mike. Everytime I saw him he would aimbot 1 shot kill and cham hardcore. Obvious when he done so. I think in a run of a month my clan had reported him once a day for 20 days and he finally got banned after 4 months for not hacking. For some temp reason that he got unbanned for. A month later I decided to send another report and after saying alot of stuff in the report I mean being agry with the Z8 company they finally got around to Mike getting banned. There are ton of similar stories from other players in the Crossfire community but there is NO COMMUNICATION between gm's and players. We see them as a non caring company built on making a quick $. They see us as players who spend cash and enjoy the game.
If the gm's cared about the community they would personally ask what we felt their priorites should be. In the last year alone I've played 5 different FREE mmofps like crossfire and their staff was very player concerned. Since its us players who drive their income and its us players who spend our time watching what needs to be done in game.
GM's of Z8 If you personally want to know how to improve the customer service with this game then send me a private message. I do know what it takes to run a successful game as a dev and as a gm.
Free tip: open up a poll for players. Put a time frame on it say a week or a month. Let us give our imput on what needs to be done with Crossfire. With this sort of attitude you'll bring more players into the game and you'll allow your current players to feel they have a role.
Alot of children play this game and rage cause they don't know how to respond to something unjust. I feel for ya I honestly do, I would suggest not to rage and take it up in a appropriate manner. To z8 games I am unaware what that maybe considered but there should be more player staff communication.
I found this out the hard way. A gm may join the game but players see them as a "parent/baby sitter" but another player with ties to a gm will be treated as just another player. Took a gm to remote into my pc and watch me play their FPS to find out who the major hackers are. Funny enough the game been out for close to 5 months and there is no working VIP hack as of yet. Staff power? nah just 1 guy runs the show and he's doing just as much or more then a whole staff does.
This post might spark the idea of raging. Actually quite opposite, I've played this game since it was offically opened last spring. I've been playing despite all the hack floods and all the abusive language from other clans. Even through harrasment and to this day I still jump on my clan ventrilo and chill out and play crossfire. Game content is good, its just when players got a problem nobody is there to help. Support tickets with a copy/paste responce of "we have recieved your ticket and we cannot give you updates on it but be asured we will look into the matter" my words of course but very same meaning.
What ever is said in this topic after this post I will not be held responsible for since I just posted my views. Any flaming done, any insulting or cussing I will not reply to. I will only just post and move on; make the topic popular will only benifit the cause so players have your words.
