Timed out waiting for initialing xtrap-engine.

I open crossfire and click start game and the hgwc and xtrap loads and goes away, nothing happens for about 2 minutes and then this error pops up.



i've tried re-installing and downloading again.. anyone know about this error and how to fix it?

Same here, and I know it is something related to anti-virus or a firewall. But the thing is, I don't have either of those and I still can't get it to work. Even after clean boots, reinstalling and such, I can't get it. >=(

after u uninstall crossfire remember to delete the z8games folder also in program files as the xtrap will still be there

do what i told KANME to do on the clan forums

i looked in the program file and there is nothing so i reinstall the game! but still happens what do i do?

Ok try this uninstall crossfire then goto c: program files and delete the z8games folder if you dont do this and just unistall all the xtrap stuff will still be there so delete it.

Now goto documents and delete the crossfire folder if you want to keep any of the pics and replays just rename the folder for now.

Then goto c: windows > prefetch folder go in the folder and select all and delete.

Now download this http://www.windowsdoctor.com/ to register it for the full program ;-D use this ********* dont think z8games would like this part lol its gone .

Then run windows doctor and hit system security 1st if it finds anything click next put a tick in all the boxs for now and then hit repair (This will remove all the startup **** on your pc that is by your clock its ok all the things that was there is still on your computer in program and will come back after you run them once its just like going to run and typeing msconfig and going to the start up tab and untick them just a faster way for you)

Ok now goto privacy cleanup on the left side make sure all the boxs are ticked then hit clean.

Last one lol registry cleanup again the same make sure all ticked and hit clean.

Before you do anything else restart your pc.

After restart only download a new copy of crossfire and install.
