[Discussion] 2nd Ghost Mode Tournament
Let's open this up for future discussion...
Whats the skinny? What's the general synopsis of players opinions following this past tournament? Besides the ordinary flaming...HOW could this sort of event grow from here?
My Opinion:
An ACTUAL tournament for Ghost Mode clans. #JustSaying Preliminary drawing wouldn't hurt none...I don't wanna take a hard fought battle from the Panthers because ALOT of them are friends of mine, and they DESERVE it, but how can you crown a king when the court isn't comprised of a majority of the actual GM clans. I KNOW there were a bunch of GM based clans that missed out, and I KNOW they're hurtin' because they didn't get a shot...Teams that have PROVED time and time again their players are amongst the elite.
REALLY VIP? Not only were they all shovel & axers...but equipped with armor and noise down. Classy move RQ'ing. We [Sensation] began the BL sweep with only knifes, and no noise down before they jumped shipped from a complete blowout...
I know for a SOLID FACT there are other teams that possess the very same ability, but were shut out from the opportunity to compete...That's my opinion on an addition...
Allow the nuts and bolts of the GM community actually play...
ps. The majority of us, while on GR were either M700 or Pistols only x) .Charity two rounds in their favor

Yea 2 teams. Kinda unfair. There should be some sort of priority system. The known GM clans should get in before stupid clans that don't even have a roster yet when they go to sign up. UnE, Sensation, LT™ just to name 3 GM clans that got left out. All with good players that can advance in the tourney. There were 4-5 actual good GM clans in this last tourney, out of 32. Pathetic. No competition because the GM's didn't allow there to be any, letting these unknowns apply. Irritates me a lot. That's all I have to say, either expand the next tourney to 64 teams, or let the top GM clans enter before registration.
And didn't the Autumn assault have hackusations and bans flying around left and right, seemed like every week there was either a team getting DQ'd for hacking or some team QQing about "hackers" on the other team. Saidin said that's why this was so small of a tourney, because it would take more time to review all of the replays. I didn't hear one hackusation entire tourney. There were disputes about playing times, and server locaitons. But no hackusations to my knowledge. It was a clean tournament. Imo at least... -

lets put it this way they won fair and bah bah bah their b team is better than half of the gm clan out their. just live with the fact they are the best gm clan atm.
Edit: Vip is not that bad their alright . the people u guys faced is not even their starter plus they have bad ping in beta so everything don't balance out. they problly would win more round if u face their starter. -
Rules restriction are:
M16 and M700 only.
Knife only.
No other equipment.
Unless of course, GM isn't about what people say it's about, that being pinpointing and bunny hopping.a GM tourny with knife only no armour no breath down no foot step down thingy now that would be a pro GM tourny

Let's point the facts out.
- Sensation is average, saintMalice is their best player.
- VIP Frontal .... well. I have no intelligent guess on why do they think they are actually good. Even with their low pings, they have lost to Pan[TH]erS on UK server 9-0!!
Pan[TH]erS had 2 teams indeed, but how the hell is that shiit UNFAIR? If it is NOT against the rules, how the fck is it UNFAIR? Blame only yourself just because you weren't fast enough to register your team for the tournament. -

U came up with a wall of text ONCE AGAIN. I don't see much suggestion for the next GM tourny in the wall of text up there. I see more whining.
Btw: Axe, noise down, ,footstep, and Bunnyhop ( If i have to mention) are all the things that will save Ghost's lives against real pro GR ( Fast pinpoint, deadly aiming, smart move) -

So, go n buy Axe/shovel, Amour, Breathdown, FootSteps then play BL fight PanTHerS on GR . Show me/us what da fck u can do with them then. If you can own any of them, I would pay duble for what you spent on those items

Sounds good...also smokes=baddie, they cause lag for people. -
i agree with you but one small problem, If you give them all of the above and allow the bunnyhoopin but then take away the rpk and the m60 who has the advantage now? To me bunnyhooping is just another glitch which they decided to not nerf. if you just have the breathing reducer and a shovel or axe alone its not a slight advantage its a huge f-ing advantage. proven time and time again by the kill/death ratios.

Whining? HAHA I had 0 interest in playing in the GM tournament...ANYONE who talked to me when the info was released KNOWS I didn't wanna play in it...you can ask Soge because he asked me if I wanted to play in the Pans2 team and I declined as I didn't want to play in it. I have 0 interest in GM in general, haha. I don't mean to stir up nonsense, but C'MON MAN! If I was gonna whine, I would have LONG BEFORE the finals, haha.
I've got a replay from this morning of Bad wasting his ammo [an ENTIRE set trying to get me x) ; Forcing him to pick up a new weapon x) ] Just me bhopping around him watching him spray x)

Yeah, I agree with you on the smoke. I get between 36-40 FPS in smoke. I can still hop through it. It's completely CPU related if your lag in smoke. Can't expect EVERYONE to play at low CPU spec formatted rules.If you're gonna ban breath down and step down, you'll also have to ban flashgoggles, speed defuse and nade expansions.

Limiting it to axes, knives, no armor, no RPK and no M60 is fine.
You can't disallow Speed Defuse. The item cannot be removed once equipped.
The ONLY reason why the percs aren't disallowed is because they're no real way of monitoring it in replays. You could get away with noise and/or step down in replays...no real way to monitor it.
I'm only being honest when I say; Set an even field...and the advantages will pan themselves out according to the level of skill. #JustSaying
