Ping spikes and Disconnect. Help?

Hm, so today for some reason my ping has been spiking up to 8k when it normally remains under 100. Even in ventrillo, i disconnect, thus i think my connection is dropping and then reconnects back really quick. (i think). Anyone know how to solve this issue?

I have tried restarting my router and restarting my computer and i still get connection drops and ping spikes.

This happened to me ALOT.
My ping would go from 36 to 300+ and even 1k.

How often does it happen? And how long does it take to drop after it spikes?

Avoid using wireless connection to play. You won't have this problem with cable.

pause all por.nography downloads while playing CF and Vent.

avoid having other devices hooked on to your network.

if usisng wireless, be sure to not play near: fridges,microwaves, cellphones, wireless headsets, fans, air conditions, de-humidifiers ect.

Ive been playing wireless and its only today that ive experienced this issue.

Sometimes the lag would last for seconds, sometimes i end up lagging out.

Yarhar. I actually play with both the wireless and cable at the same time, but it appeared that the computer actually accepted the wireless connection over the physical one and it caused me to spike like a sad ****. Disabled wireless and I'm all fine with my 50 foot ethernet cord.
