O M G STILL corrupted :(

>_O... it did it again. I even went as far as un-installing AVG, but it said "An error occurred while trying to copy a file: The source File is corrupted." And then it gave me the abort option and retry option but these do nothing.... >_<... sigh... any OTHER ideas? It did get farther through the download though.

I don't understand why it is doing this though. It installed fine last time WITH AVG running...

It could be that your RAM went bad. That or your hard drive is going.
Those are the main causes of corrupted downloads.

also you can get a corrupted file from a bad source and even if the source is fine during download sometimes files can somehow get corrupted not sure why or how but they can you could try downloading from another mirror to see if it helps but it's probebly one of the two reasons rob posted

ive downloaded it 5 times now this is the 6th and it always goes to about halfway then says file is corrupted

the most likely reason is it is your ram like rob said turn off your computer unplug it then open your computer and carefully remove your ram and place it into another socket if you have one you could have more than one stick of ram if that is the case just swap them over.

its possible you have no memory left or there is very little causing your ram to not read everything as it should download this

1. open advanced system care

2. click Utilities (should be the bottom circle)

3. in the box to the right click smart ram

4. ones smart ram has loaded click "GO" it will say "Smart Clean" and "Deep Clean" i would say do both of them

5. just press the X at the top right of the box this will place smart ram into your system tray.

6. try a fresh reinstall of cf

this may help i do not know also what is your computers OS?
