Some info about the "HGW game watcher" problem that MIGHT help GMs.
OK so I can see many people are having this problem where CF skips the "downloading patch" box and goes straight to the "HGW game watcher", where nothing then happens. So I've decided to go snooping around the CF files, and I've tried to find some things that the CF technicians might want to know.
Local Disk C > Program Files > Z8Games > Crossfire > HGWC > FWatcher > 2010-04
After going through the listed files, I found a WHOLE HEAP of notepad documents, all labelled: FWatcher_"~~~~" where "~~~~" means a date, followed by a seemingly random 6 digit number. Each and EVERY single one of them have the same message, except for the start, which I think is the time you tried to start CF.
For example, one of the notepad documents
FWatcher_2010-04-13 09_0002: (title)
09:45:50 [Error] Socket Error : 10053. (the message)
Like stated above, ALL the notepad documents seem to have the same message inside it, except for the start, which seems like the time.
I hope this might be of use to the GM's...if not, oh well...at least I tried.

That socket error number refers to: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.
- The TCP/IP Connection was aborted by Windows. This was possibly due to a data transmission timeout or protocol error.
- The virtual circuit was terminated due to a time-out or other failure. The application should close the socket as it is no longer usable.

OMG i'm sorry guys, but this is MY thread about MY problem, not yours LD1! PLEASE don't steal the attention away from my errors!
Back on topic: Thanks for the reply Greycloak! But i'm sorry, i'm not computer expert, so what are the possible solutions to the listed errors? Thanks! -
Hey, it's right! I tried going through all the stuff that Eagle listed, and its true...all these random documents -_-...
GM's or MOD's, PLEASE help us! And is this problem related in any way to the "socket error" that everyone else is having stupid errors with? (in the latest threads).
