This may not help anyone here, but i have found that the link in 'localinfo.dat' (opened with notepad, in the CrossFire directory) leads to the older version info, so the game treats this patch as the incorrect version (at least for me). the link http://dl3.g4box.com/download/version.ini shows the version file Crossfire downloads each time it starts, and this version file needs to be updated as it says the latest version is 1042, but it is actually now 1043. anyone that can immediatly contact Z8 staff might like to show this, as it seems to be the cause. G4box needs updating (however Crossfire works) so that EVERYONE who has Crossfire installed can play. I am myself not sure wether the link affects only the PC that asked for it or everyone. either way, it must be looked into.
