Scopes?

Which assault rifle scope seems more useful? The one that zooms in (ex. m16 camo, tar-21) or the one with the dot in the middle (xm8,m4 custom). Personally, Ive never used scopes except for snipers. Some people seem to get lots of hs with the xm8 scope. So i decided to get at least 1 scoped weapon (besides a sniper) to try with. Im thinking about buying the tar-21 or just keep my k2 (hs machine).

i think u should keep k2 if u have to sold it in order to buy tar. if u have enough gp buy one then. good gun:p

the M4 custom scope is the best one because the red dot there is so thin makes more accuracy when u hit..
i prefer no scoping with any weapon tho , regardless the snipers lol

Thanks. ive been hearing mixed feelings about the tar. People say that its spray pattern is like a question mark. Others say it is better than the scar l. I might get this instead of the scar l (4 more ranks to go).

IMO the zoom scopes are more useful than the red dot scope because of the range of the scope.

if u want a tar just buy the sg552 its practically the same.

Wish we had to option to buy scopes for our favorite weapons. A quick aim scope on a scar is deadly!

m4a1 custom has the best scope, but for heavens sake do not sell your K2 you'll just regret that.
i have a m4 custom and a aug-c, awesome guns, but for fun and HS i prefer to use the K2, i havent had a chance to use the tar yet, but in good hands the K-2 remains 1 of the best guns imo. so as you wish, just DON'T sell the k-2.

I suck with xm8 scope I admit it im pro with aug scope never tried m4a1 custom scope tar never tried but picked up keep the k2 though

I own a K-2 and a Tar. I like the K-2, great gun, great accuracy, DO NOT sell it. Try the Tar out a little bit just to see what it's like. I'll let you borrow mine some time in a game (Username TOLK, send me a whisper ). The Tar is a lot like the SG but I feel it's a little bit more accurate. In the end, it's your choice Good luck

I'm really used to the AUG style scope. For some reason, I just can't use the XM8 scope cause the dot's huge and at farther ranges, it just covers up the entire person/target making me unable to aim at certain spots (preferably the head). I think the m4 custom's scope is an improvement to the XM8 one for me, but the frame around the dot sorta distracts my attention lol.

xm8 scope isnt great cuz its such a big fat dot, xm8 adv is slightly better, but then the 3 shot burst makes it wierd

m4 c scope is pretty nice, but i prefer the zoom in scopes, tehy're much more usefull at long range...

and get tar instead of scarl, it isnt as much of a noob cannon

Imo, zoom-in scopes are better because:

a) You get to see more of what's going on around your prey. So, in some cases, you don't get killed by another guy bc you can see when he/she suddenly pops-in, while you're aiming.

b) It's easier to aim at long distances comparing to dot-scopes (m4a1-c, xm8) since the dot is too big. Sometimes, it's fairly easy to miss a headshot bc of this.

Try out the guns in Alaska (steyr aug, sg, xm8) and steal some tar-21s in TDMs (lol), and get 'the feel' of each one of them.

If you love precision, i'd advice you to go for the steyr aug... pin-point accuracy both scope/no-scope, best zoom, light-weight, and a very decent spray in cqc.

Finally, as others have already said... don't sell your K-2!!
