why doesnt Z8 use IP ban to get rid of glitchers etc
Z8 wont IP ban for several reasons, with one of the main reasons being this:
If you played fair and spent a a few bucks on the game, got a crap load of weapons and became a good player...then your brother/sister decided to join up, realized they suck hard core at the game, downloaded a hack to help them out...get caught, well now your banned too.
Would it be fair that you got banned for your brother/sister hacking?
IP addys are easy to change out as well, now most dont know how to, which would stop them...but for most of us its no issue.
Now I would like to see IP bans, because if one person in your house is hacking the game, what would stop the others from using the same hack...really, come on...if I had a bro/sis in the house and they hacked, I would join in as well.
Currently theres no law or rules that say a company cant refuse you service. Its their property, like your house, if you dont want someone there, you can just kick them out.
Just deal with the hackers...they are here to stay...no hack prevention is perfect, but xtrap is the best at it.

I approve this. Although changing your IP address is so very simple.
Yet not many people know how to utilize it.
And when they ban your IP its called DoS. (Denial of Service) Just an FYI. -
We do issue IP bans for various reasons.
Glitching though is generally treated with a little lenience especially for first time offenders. You can get a ban anywhere from 3-5 days for a first time offender. Potentially more after that, and possibly even an IP ban. -

Most of hackers/glitchers are actually item mallers lol..so if they IP ban they would be harming themselves
Whether or not you have purchased ZP has no bearing on whether an account will have action taken against it.
If you break the rules of the game you can expect to be punished whether you have previously bought ZP or not. -
bann the iSP (Internet Service Providers) of the hardcore cheater and we all have fun.

talking about ip's or isp's need a tiny experience
or bann the MAC:ADRESS or HARDWARE and all of this cheater need days or weeks to fix that "problem". xD next time they think twice before they start his hacks.
i dot it on all my 8 servers (punkbuster protectet) if my punky suck i come to pwn ...
