We are in contact with the people at Xtrap and they are aware of the error. We hope to have it fixed as soon as possible.

We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your patience while this gets solved.

TEMPORARY SOLUTIONS:

Closing Xfire or other Game Launching programs will most likely correct this problem.

From Giggletron:

Note: to stop xfire linking with cf go on xfire then click on tools>options>games> then find crossfire. on the right click the drop down menu and click "Never Detect"

this will stop xfire from linking with crossfire

REMEMBER THIS IS A TEMPORARY FIX!

From Dot:

Do a full uninstall.

Run the uninstaller from the start menu.
Delete the whole Subagames folder from X:\Program Files\.
This will remove the XTrap patches.

Do a fresh install by downloading the installer and running it.
