The reason WHY we need IP Restrictions.
Ok, this is plenty of examples of why we need IP Restrictions in crossfire.

Well, first to start off is a game I played at midnight in Bravo3-26. As you can see plenty of 150+ ping and 3, 500 pingers.

Another sniper prison match a few minutes before the link before this in a completely different channel, Bravo1-16. I know people say don't play in the morning because that's when the laggers are awake and running rampant, but wow it's almost Midnight in this picture as you can see in the corner the time. 11:44PM

Ok, so this is where I tried to get away from all the laggers, I went to try the UK server where I have a somewhat bad ping but you know what I deal with them all day everyday so I was going to see how it feels. Yet I join this room on the UK server and the idiots can't even figure out that they have an even HIGHER ping in this server.

Now, Time: 12:09PM, right at noon.. not quite in the morning but not later in the day. Joined this game in Charlie1-6. The player on my team Exaltation has a decent ping. (He is my friend and is from California so he usually plays on west coast to have a lower ping, since he was playing w/ me he didn't have his lowest ping). There is only one other person in this match w/ under 100 ping.

Now here is a screenshot that is total bull****. When you enter a game and they find out your one of the few low pingers in the room, They will kick you for having the ping you are supposed to have.
When this is going on in a game meant for North America and the UK your not supposed to have pings above 100, you can see my friend that lives south west of US has under 100 ping, just barely but its under. Z8 has made a UK server to fix their 150 pings on the regular server. Now it's time to restrict IP's to NA and UK ONLY! or atleast make a server for every region until 90% of pings are under 100. Which is easier? Obviously banning the IP's. What will happen? maybe I'll let you all discuss and z8 might get a thought in their head that the game is being ruined and the competitive play fails.
PS: go ahead and tl;dr, flame, excuse. I DON'T REALLY CARE.

I would rather z8 just makes servers all around the world to accomodate everybody. That would cost lots of money and a hell of a lot of hassle to do.
If there was any possible way to make it good for everybody I would go with that.
Right now this seems it is the only solution to fixing this games problem of laggers, tankers, no reg shots, and total bs.
PS: all those screenshots were taken in the last 3 days. I didn't get half the rooms full of laggers so it could have been a much longer list. -

I thought the west coast server was supposed to IMPROVE gameplay for West Coast players like me.
Exactly my point, most the people with 150+ ping are so stupid they can't figure out what they are doing. They have no idea what ping is. Even when there is specialized servers to lower pings for better (more fair) gameplay, laggers still run rampant. -
stop saying IP block.. a lot of people from other countries like portugal spain france germany spend real money on this game, so they should be blocked cause they have high ping?? dude its a free game you dont like leave and play Worms Armaggedon cause there are no complains about ping

how do u play with 7 fpsidk why our games can't me non lagless like other versions....just look at the games in the chinese version.. no one lags.. (but me cause of course i live in usa.)

this is beacuse the language barrier....alot of countrys speak english...not many speak chinese japanese otr korean -

yea but im not a newb at this.. i know wot u mean like 82.***.***.*** - 86.***.***.*** is britain and france....but dial up dsl/adsl u can set your ip to anything u want.. if u kno how...
and no i do not do this.. i have cable im stuck with my country main subnet....
but i do get my actuall ip changed weekly usualy only by 2-3 digits
but the bignning 2 sets of ip is allways the same..
but like i said
on dial up or other its not hard to change it -

p.S -- i would really agree with a stat cap server, thats the only way to resolve the issue.
most players know their pinging high.and i've noticed alot of them say they've gotten to used to playing
with a high ping...its impossible to play with a low ping, so they continue to play with this high ping.
causing unfair game play to the users who are correctly placed in their server of region..
So we just need 1 or 2 ping Cap servers...this will really solve the trick 100% -
First thing I do is read the forums of a game before jumping in with two feet. Just to get a feel of the community. Anyone coming from another game were to read these forums I wonder what impression they would have.
It's usually been my experience that the high pingers will leave in consideration for their fellow gamers.
The only thing N.A. about the alpha, bravo and charlie server is in name only.
I've started to pull away from CF almost entirely during the day now and even begun to skip some evenings because of the high pings.
It wasn't that long ago I watched another games population evaporate due to ping issues.
CF probably will be around for some time, but since I was born and raised here I'm really not interested in learning spanish or watching others warp around the map.

It doesn't matter what you change it to. By your logic, Z8 could change the server's IP and you'd get lower ping because their IP wouldn't resemble ones coming out of Toronto. The fact is, you're still going to have to bounce your connection off the same servers and it'll always trace back to your location.
