Why i got XM-8 7days for nothing

i didnt get online for 2 days ,then i found i got 7days XM-8. Its kinda weird, who knows for what i got that for free?
I check the logs. it says XM-8[C] Gift on April 1st Fool's day. That makes confused. who can tell me what is going on?
