Deagle.Colt does horrible damage unless your nose is touchin your enemy.
well why would i shoot some1 with a pistol from a distance when i have a sniper in my bag? and if i do run out of ammo i relocate to a safe location and reload, colt fires fast and imo does a decent amount of damage -

then colt works for you. but if are willing to spend some cash I suggest Conda for the REALLY REALLY fast pullout time. -

im pretty good a hitting close targets with my awm -
If you're really that good at close distance AWMing, then you should just use your knife, because you want to see the crosshair for quickscoping, right? If you want a pistol just for close range protection, choose the deagle. I see no point in getting the colt if you just want to switch guns.
So, get the deagle if you want close distance protection. Otherwise, just use your knife -
1911 is a great back-up weapon for a sniper. Most people who discount it's value are noobs.
Mid-range, Deagle would be better, but at mid-range-> Why not use your AWM?
The 1911 really shines in close quarters (Which is where sniping is most difficult). If you miss your first shot, you will probably be dead by the time you draw your deagle. However, the 1911's rapid draw-speed makes it invaluable here.
If you miss, you can switch to your 1911 (which is very fast as mentioned) and start shooting back while strafing for cover. You might not kill the person (you may, it's a decent gun) but at least having incoming fire will cause your enemy stress and force them to evade thus lowering an average player's accuracy.
Most players expect snipers to be helpless in close quarters once they miss their first shot simply because most snipers use a deagle back-up (which has a draw time comparable to the AWM). -
I would say to get the Deagle & for these reasons:
- a sniper dont use pistol unless the target is very close. thus the d.e has more power than a colt & does more damage in less shots. so distance wouldent matter.
-the time it would take to pull out would depend on the sniper (when he beleives he is in danger). even if target is close when u pull for ur sub, the diffence between the d.e, colt & acond is not that big. the colt would also mean more rounds because of its less power. this will leave the target to have time to fire more rounds at u.
-d.e has 7 rounds & como & gold holds 9 & 10 rounds each, which is more than enough to kill a target. four (4) rounds should kill any target.
