I think you should try out some guns with another account. If you want a gun with a good firing rate and reload time, try the MP5, because it reloads rapidly. It's a close/midrange gun though.
You could also try the guns first in Elimination Mode (Alaska & Crossroads).
My top 3 guns:
1. AWM
2. K-2
3. XM8 -
eh... the two posts above me aren't too helpful. sniping isn't easy for the majority of new players on here to pull off... let me make a bit better list for you
1. m4a1 (in top 3 best guns in the game imo and easily the best newbie gun... very low recoil, great rof, and good power)
2. mp5 (fast rof, fast reload, mediocre power, decent accuracy)
3. ak74 (i personally don't like it because the crosshair gets huuuuge sometimes, but you might enjoy it, some people LOVE it. it's a stronger m4 with a slower rate of fire and less accuracy)
honorable mention: k2.
oh, and plz don't get the scar-l. it makes you suck with other guns. -

Go with the sg552...the scoping feature allows you to compete with snipers, and even decent snipers will struggle against the sg552 across map once you get good with it...it was great range, and has far better power than most ppl will give credit...most people shy away from it because it's "too loud"...IMO, i'll take a gun that i can kill you with across the map that's kinda loud over a quiet gun that's not as accurate nor powerful from distance...so i'd recommend the sg if you plan on mixing it up between close, mid, and long range distances [because of the zoom, accuracy, and rate of fire] or if you plan on sticking to the mid-long range game, buy the Steyr AUG...one of the most accurate weapons in the game with one of the lowest amounts of recoil for its category -

These are what guns are good at!
ScarL- Awsome aimimg, good long distance and short but suks bad in GM!
Stuer-AUG- Best aiming, Has zoom scope good at long distance, suks n GM!
AWM- Very useful but costs 50 grand and is very hard to master! suka at close range!
AK-47- Well it looks good, but it sucks crap! accuracy Yeah? kinda but no!
Ma41- Only if you wanna look like a begginer!

For Sniping I would RECOMMEN:
-AWM
For Spraying I would RECOMMEN:
-Scar Light
-K-2
-Famas (if you know how to use it)
For Pistol I would RECOMMEN:
-Anconda
-Desert Eagle

P228 and Colt 1911 are really really reliable and good -

I didn't get what You just say, Scar Light is VERY good, it's good at long range and short range. Many people have it. And yes Colt is a very nice gun. -

i think (personally) that SCAR Light is too overpowered
-High power
-Low recoil
-Very accurate
-Fast reload
-Light
-Too Easy to use
AK-47 can do the same things as SCAR Light does, but takes more skills -

Yes, I get that Scar Light is VERY easy to use. So?
I mean it's not so bad to have a good gun that is easy to use. I didn't buy Scar Light, I've got a K-2, AWM. For a PISTOL what do you recommend? Deagle or Colt? Just a couple of months ago, I found out about the Black Market. So I actually spend ALL of my money on of course getting those crates. Now I have a total GP of 13,000 (rounding). -
