yea, m16 is better than M4 in RL, longer barrel=more accuracy
bigger frame=bigger mass=recoil gets absorbed=less recoil.

Nothing is really fatter between them, and everything can be upgraded, i do know this because i do build them.. -
M4A1 was a remake of M4 carbine with fullauto capabilities,
and if that's how you say it then why do we have half of the guns we have? why do you have AK-74U when we can have AK 74
why SG552 when we can have SG550?
why have type 89 carbine when we can have type 89? because it's smaller and cost less. the M16 in the picture is M16A2, not M16A1.
My correction, Lets change that to just the M4, which is still roots to the m16. We have half the guns that we have now because they are variants of the gun. They are considered "Improvements." The M4 was an improvement of the M16, the M4a1 was an improvemnt of the M4. The Improvements rage from recoil and mass to production cost and efficiency. And my apologies for thinking of the wrong weapon, I've playing too much SF. -

true to a certain point a 9mm will do the job so will a 40 it all depends on where you place your shots.there is a little more mass to a 40 but if you want real knockdown a 45. is the way to go yet the fall back is a slow round about 800 feet a sec, i do have a 40 xdm and a 9mm the 9mm is a glock 26 aka babyglock i carry everyday.the 40 is on the nightstand as well -

3. it is not a upgrade of M16A2, it is a variant of M16A2, not a update, it is a M16A2 with a shorter 14.5 in barrel and a shorter handguard,
