Thats why we have moderators and game managers ( i think thats what gm stands for).
I believe it stands for Game masters, but not sure about that..
Anyway, this idea cant work, too much power to the hands of ordinary people.. Woo, thats called democracy and it fails a lot -
i think people who make a thread should have the power to block people from there thread. It would save alot of flame wars and alot of good threads. It would save mods some time and we could finaly have a decent thread ha ha
Perhaps close their own threads. But I think being able to edit/delete others' posts would cheat people out of hearing conflicting opinions. -
well for the people who said they would block mod's i obviously thought they wouldn't be aloud to be blocked from it. For the power thing? how is that to much power? mods would still have the power to close the forum if needed and i dont think people should be aloud to edit or delete post just block people from the thread. I mean if the thread is about someone flaming someone else the mods can just shut it down, but if the thread is about something say a clan recruitment thread and someone starts hating on the clan they should be aloud to block them from that thread. dont see how that is to much power mods still have entire control in the end

Yeah, they would have entire control in the end, but its not very helpful for them, because they would still have to control it (=the same work as now).. But still imagine situation where you have a nice conversation with friends on some thread and the nooby owner kicks you out because he doesnt have enough attention or understand your sentence wrongly.. I bet it would bother you a lot, but what do to with it then? Spam Mods with PMs? These situations would happen.. Here on forums are generally "better" people than are in game, but still, noobs, haters and QQers are everywhere..
Is it really worthy? If you want to get rid of some hater, ignore him.. Its slower, but it doesnt need extra source code.. -
the problem with ignoring them it usually ends up with the thread getting closed. Also if you get kicked from a thread by the owner of it just start a new thread, if it does not get fixed it will be pretty much the same because someone will flame war it and ti will get closed.

Agree, imho ban would be better and easier solution for flamers than this..
it would be but flamers i find they dont get banned often they just kill a thread then move to the next one. thats why i suggested this and i dont think deleteing posts should be there even if there was a flammer.
