I have my poopy comp. I am building a new one. My friend has a vista CD. And this poopy comp has a vista product key. Which I will be using parts of this computer: cd drive/C: drive./ram and that is about it. Am I breaking any rules or laws if I use this product key on the computer I am building? It will have a dif mobo btw.

No. It won't work if the sticker is for a different version of Vista however.

It is the same version. It is my friends CD. But I have the product key for this lame computer. But it doesn't come with disc. am I able to? Both windows vista home premium. I checked.
EDIT: I yahoo answered it. And it came up I was able to... Just gotta call microsoft if the current key is "in use" and they can reset it. And then it is all good. Because technically it is my product key. Woot woot. GG microsoft.
