How can i bea GM ?

I want to be a gm, so what can i do to be one gm ?

GM's are company employees. So the only way would be to submit a resume with related experience and hope to get called for an interview. Moderators, however, are chosen by the staff. Occasionally you might see forum moderator applications. If you see one, feel free to apply.

The application was put up on the forum. Dozens of people applied, and a few were selected. I have no idea if and when there will be another application though.

Thanks for sending us the email.

Currently we aren't hiring, the webpage is slightly vague on that and will be changed momentarily. The "links" for the departments don't bring up the application form which is supposed to mean that those positions are NOT open right now.

We will change the wording to make that clearer.

In the mean time, staying active on the boards and being involved in intelligent community discussion remains the best way to get noticed by us for becoming a MOD or for future openings by the company.


As far as what it takes to work in the games industry. That would be a whole other discussion and can of worms. There are plenty of ways to get your foot in the door in the industry (ie being a GM, or Game Tester, or Writer etc). And there are other ways like being a 3d artist or programmer. As with all jobs though it usually takes some luck and some networking.

3years ago i wanted to be a gm so i made my own private server of a game and it was not funny, there is too much work to do
