Fix the hacking problem already
Hacks need to be negated with anti hack protection. I agree with many if this isnt fixed im quitting this and going to softnyx games. At least they care enough to make their anti hacks work. This game is turning to crap i cant get into a ghost game where their isnt some moron shooting me from across the god darn map while iv been still for way too long. Then you call them on it and they are like o lucky shot and no one on their team will kick them cause thats the only reason they are winning. If this game is for hackers then hacks should be available to everyone and not just a select few. This is where you need to choose is this a game for hackers or a game for legit FPS players.

I agree with you, and have been complaining for a long time about this, but I see nothing being done. I would say that IP banning would be a nice punishment for hackers, or as you said, let everyone hack and within 2 weeks nobody will be playing anymore because what's the point? If you remove the aspect of skill and just hack, I'm sure most people would get bored fast, I know I would. -

When we patched the game the last few times we greatly reduced the number of hackers, everyone stopped complaining, but no one seemed to bother to say thanks.
It's a cycle that will always exist due to the nature of the game. Sadly the nature of this cycle always encourages negative reinforcement as opposed to positive ones. No one complained when you didn't see a speed hacker in the game for 3 months. Now a speed hacker might show up in the game and all of a sudden we're failing at our jobs and the entire game is going to blow up.
We don't announce all the fixes to the game especially for anti hacking measures because that would give advantage to the people creating the hacks. So yes, some patience and trust is going to be required. But we're going to get things right and we're going to continue to patch the game. It's been just over a month since our last patch, and most of that was due to our switch to z8games. Don't worry, patches are coming, new content is coming, anti hack measures are being taken. Just hang in there! -

Thanks for the very intelligent response. The main reason I complain is that due to these hacks existing, the good players are always getting accused of hacking and getting kicked.
I get kicked at least once every day, and I get accused of hacking every second game. I always responde the same way, "If you think so then report me, I don't mind."
I know it's not a perfect game, let alone a perfect world, but I believe enough in it to have spent money on it, and am annoyed by the fact that these hackers ruin it for everybody. -
hi iam ultrakill7 i have an account on cf and iam leader of my clan , one of my members got into my cf sign in and played on my account, my friends on cf spoke to this hacker thinking it was me , i sent them a message via msn and told them i couldnt log in , they said i was online and saying alot of silly stuff and admitted he was called skillet another member of my clan , they asked him my real name he couldnt say they asked alot of stuff about me only they would no and obviously me , he answered wrongly he then admitted who he was mt lt phaze then kicked him out of clan ,, i recived a message from you saying i was banned ???? what the hells going on with z8 its very unacceptable ive been hacked and totally conned and unfairly treated by z8 admin ,,,,,

k i am to sick about this hack **** cuz good player (like me) get kicked from n00b that never reaged sergant ;( but how Saidin said its a Nature of a game. Every game have the same porbleme ( TETRIS TOO !!!!). Some gamse have mor h4ckers some lesser but the FACT is wehn you want a GAME WIHT LESSER HACKER PAY FOR THIS GAME. when not be happy that crossfire is FREE and play it and just ignore hackers or USE the VOTEsystem or just leav the game .......... -

I thought that people under IP bans can easily change their IP and start playing again. What the GM said is true though, that hackers are part of the nature of the game. Basically because they're impatient people or those who are arrogant and inconsiderate. Every game has a hacker out to abuse and corrupt the game. The only way to have a clean game is to have:
1- A well programmed game that is tough for a hacker to bypass, and clever tricks to disconnect players who manipulate game files or alter gameplay.
2- A good anti-hack prevention and detection, but this part mainly relies on gameguard, which most hackers easily bypass anyway -_-
3- A very active and populated staff. Hackers can keep on playing the game without the risk of an immediate ban or an alert to a GM.
4- Better replay saving system. The save replay so far is good, but it lacks the kill list in the top right and the file type isn't very flexible. If there was an easier way to convert them would be more convenient.
5-Better Kicking option. The limit of kicks you should get is 4 because after 2 tries you can't put up any more votes. These restraints help keep hackers in the game. Also, when the room has 16 players, it requires a 10-6 vote to kick; when theres 15 players, it requires 10-5 and 9-6 doesn't qualify. I believe players should be kicked when the vote is 9-6 in a 15 player room, because it is almost the same ratio to 10-6 in a 16 player room. -

IP banning wont work. changing your ip is easier than starting a new account on this game. -

why thank you for the patches! any way we can get a patch everyday? lol jk jk. And well to be honest, i dont mind the hacks so much as i hate the people who call everyone who kills them a hack heh, getting rid of hacks means to me "yay i wont get called a hacker anymore lol" not "yay no more hackers." -

You are right, positive reinforcement is always good. Ofcourse, It would be much easier if you could convince the players that you have a handle on the problem. Here is a compliment for you: This game is riddled with hackers and yet a lot of people still play it, so I guess it must be fun.
I have been playing CF for the better part of 2009 and since then hacking has been the constant drawback with this game. The only reason I still play is because I made friends with some other players. When the buddy server was down a few weeks ago (for what seemed like ages) I hardly ever played.
I can't speak for everybody, but bottom line is, as long as there is this prevalence of hackers, I will complain, and complain some more. I just wish I had your telephone numbers so I could call you evertyime I play against a hacker! I will complain until I am convinced that you can manage the problem. I will complain because I practise hard at the game and became a good player legitimately. I will complain because I spent money on your site and bought all kinds of stuff to give me that extra edge, only to have my skills and weapons reduced to nothing by a cheater.
One more thing, good job with the speed hacks. -
it's an on going cycle that will never stop..unless you patch every week or day your not going to stop anything, or had a gameguard that actually worked, and it's so many noob hackers that you could ban them so many different ways but then they can just start another account...it's pretty sad when it's almost better for everyone to get hacks and even the field because no one seems to be getting kicked anyways, and if you buy zp it's like an auto non kick account where you could have every hack possible and still not be kicked...like someone with a K/D Ratio of 100,000:10,000 and they leave them to keep on farming and hacking..pretty pathetic...all I've seen from z8 since they took over were stupid halloween backgrounds they wasted hours on and halloween cratres with a crap gun already in the game, and tournament they don't even watch so people can hack in those

another thing: the game isn´t that filled up with hackers, at least not more than QQers... ppl cry a lot when in fact they are no good in the game!! -
If you don't like it then go play a different game. I for one don't care about hackers. I want to thank Z8 for doing the best that they can about preventing the hacks, but it seems as soon as you prevent them they come back with different ones. I'm not the best player out there and I certainly don't care if I am. I'm just here relieving stress from my daily life. if anything, hacks just make me try and play the game smarter. And don't threaten that you are going to go elsewhere, cuz seriously it's a FREE game, lol.

and they dont ip ban because most hackers use and ip cloack so it gives the wrong ip which is also a cause for ping issues so if they where to do an ip ban they could end up banning someone who has never been reported let alone hacked, all they can do is give the hacker a perma ban on the account and patch the hacks which they are making a patch for -

I have been tried of being kick in a Ghost Match map, that one map that I play the MOST! out of the 4 games i would play, 2-3 of them I would be kicked from, reason being the ghost calling me hack and the team wants their own MVP and ACE [most when there's 1 round left].
And there are number of times when a ghost claims that they are using the "bunny hop" and i killed them, then they call me hack and the next thing i know, I was kicked.
Btw, Thanks for working hard on fixing the hacks, Can you issue VIP member to players who would earn it [ I don't know how
]
It would be really nice to play a few hour of gaming without the worry of being kicked for being too good.
