Breaking Guns Question

Hey can anyone help me i've been trying to break my M16 for ages and it says its malfunctioning and that it cost is 10000gp to repair it and it never goes upwards or 10000gp.Is this normal or is there something wrong cause i don't want to waste my time trying 2 break it if its not going to! and i havent received my 10000gp or watever it is either for breaking it.anyone????????????????????????????????////////

The money you make breaking a gun is the money you save by not repairing it.. If you break the M16 and leave it in storage forever and never use it again, that 10k in GP you would normally need to repair it, is now in your bank.
