Ping problem and i am in Canada. Help Please.
I just replaced Windows Vista with Windows 7 on my laptop. Since i have done this i am keep having a ping problem. I am in Toronto Canada and my Ping is always 10-14:p.
Since i placed Windows 7 on my Laptop my ping changes ever 30 seconds. Its keeps rising and dropping & I did not chance my internet provider or my internet speed. Somehow the ping starts off at 25 (around that area) and rises to a 100+ with in 30 seconds or less, of me being in game. Then it drops back to 30-40 in a few seconds again and then rise again in a few seconds. It keeps on doing this for the whole game and ever game i go into. I don't know what to do or how to fix this. Is Windows 7 causing this?
I never had this problem with vista.What is causing this?
Can someone please Help me?

It may just be that game room is laggy. That is a possibility. If it is every game you go to, then try checking if your firewall is blocking Crossfire. If it is, you will have problems with connection/ping. Also it may be that your computer is old and doesn't run as effiecently (<-- I think I spelled that wrong.) as before. -

Hey i live in Toronto Canada to and i join a almost every game with about 10k in and 20 seconds i get kick i use game booster and everything if there is anything i can do to help this please tell me i use windows vista and i have 10 gigabytes of ram and 3 terabytes of memory so i am pretty sure its not computer fault. -

Its not the computer because before i put windows 7 on the game was fine. I was have my normal 14 ping with no problems. I dont think the firewall would cause the ping to be Unstable. Because my ping would jump up and down in just a few seconds. My ISP didnt change too. Same internet and same speed. I dont know what else to do:( I am think about going back to Vista because the game isent working with Windows 7. -

Well ur FPS would depend on your video card and your computer, not the types of windows. -

I tried turning it off but that dosent work.
I found something that work. Everytime i start C.F i have to go task mamager and set C.F priority as Low. Only then will my ping remain Stable. I have to do this every time i start C.F and its so annoying.
How can i make this permanent? -

Yea , +1. or how do it so it's work like at XP.
and also interesting y it;s happening? y only low priority? for me at low it's a little bit laggy, even with 100 fps.
And everybody windows 7 users have this problem? or just profesional? -

I had the same problem with windows 7 after i installed CF. I downloaded a program called WLAN Optimizer and now my ping is back to 15. There you go: http://www.martin-majowski.de/wlanoptimizer/
