Higher ping/ ping spikes and weird thing

I get higher ping from 80 in a non-uk/west server to 160 and if i try to go to west server, my ping stays at 30 but i get this weird thing in which if i try to jump over a pillar (lets say in egypt), i will get "stuck" for a second then the jump doesnt register through so i fall down and this happens in any map even if i run into a wall.. could this be the new patch causing this?
