The Anti-Hacker/Skill Finder Guide
Probably pointless but it might allow some people to identify the difference between an aided or skilled player and a hacker. Which, in my experience since the X-Trap has been put in has been reduced significantly or none at all and simply skilled players being accused. I'll try and put them in categories as well as known types of hacks, and possible ways to change it.
Team Death Match/FFA:
This mode is probably the least game mode I've seen hacks being used in recent days. At most all I ever saw was the Chammers, and the once known 1 Kill Shoot Through Walls or Aimbot hacks.
-Chamming: Not so easy to spot in this mode and easily can be confused for someone playing really good (lol or a person pwning with a SL. it happens.) Since the constant action makes it hard to gauge their movements. Most notable chammers usually almost always target the weakest parts where the most kills will happen. Luckily for you Chammers can be killed as easily as any other player. They might see you and hunt you, but that doesn't mean their aim, intuition or even luck is any better. Out smarting them is the best thing to do, and they can't stop all the bullets. They like to see out the campers the most. Easy spots when reviewing a replay is to check for prefire on the target in question. Most of the time this gives them away if its an odd location for such.
-1 Kill Shoot Through Walls: There's probably a number of people who probably experienced, seen or been on the receiving end of this. Sadly, there's no real countermeasure to this, the game is usually lost if you are taking the hits. Best quit while your ahead and save yourself from suffering the large deaths tolled. However, I haven't seen this hack in a long time since X-Trap has done its job. So worries about this particular hack are all but eliminated I believe.
-Aimbots: Sometimes they are easy to spot. There's been a number that do a super fast 360 that looks like their torso is on steroids. Seeing that coupled with their unbelievable K/D in such a match usually lends itself to this hack usually. The difference about aimbotting and a skilled player is: Aimbotter's don't miss. Skilled players do.
-Skilled Players: Almost 98% of the time with X-Trap these days, anyone with a good score on there is a person who has worked their rear off to get such. Spamming hacker in this mode for someone with a 40-20 K/D will only give you the title noob and QQ'er. People can get good scores, having practiced with their weapons. And even the best can have a bad game. Not hard for an AWM'er or Skill Lite user to rack up points.
Search & Destroy/Elimination:
The only hack I can assume has ever been used in my experience of these game types is simply Chamming. However, these types also get the confusion of a skilled player over a hacker. As stated above, prefiring players may be a sign of a Chammer, especially if its at a distance. However, many skilled players memorize maps, have favourite locations and kill spots. And even most players can predict approximately where most players will end up in a match. These maps aren't all that huge after all. But as stated above, outsmarting or forcing a Chammer to risk themselves usually helps in bringing them down. Be fast, be smooth, be smart. If not, try and get your allies to help.
Ghost Mode:
Probably the supreme game type for QQ'ers, hacks and hackusations. The scar the hack wars that went on in this mode seemed to have left a deep cut. 1 Kill can get you kicked, your allies worry suspiciously or aim for your ACE hoping not to get the boot themselves. What people don't seem to understand is the various elements to this mode that allows one to get a kill. I'm mainly concerning with the GR side as there's rarely, if at all, a Ghost hacker. The one that gets thrown out thee the most is Chamming. However with the way the game works is hard to determine if a player is actually cheating in this mode, or just playing smart. Here are some things to take into consideration:
-Footsteps: Loud, noisy and easy to track a BL's (or even GR's) location. Doing this alot in key and common areas GR's mill about can get you kill. Running is usually saved for escaping. Your supposed to be stealthy after all.
-Breath: Despite the rumours, I seriously think that for some possible GR's 'pinpoint' breath excuse is a bit far fetched. Who take steady aim to deliver 1 HS to a ghost nearby. Especially since not everyone and their grandma has '$200 headphones' for this mode specifically. Just my assumption, but those are usually the ones I take into review. However, breath is usually a big indicator a ghost is around and it can lead to a multitude of spraying in the close area. Most of the time when its heard its spray and pray unless the ghost is sighted. Since breath also goes through walls, above and below, them being certain of your position is rare.
-Visibility: Contrary to what many Ghost think, they are NOT pro bunny hoppers. Everyone makes mistakes (and for most, its frequent) and for someone with a keen eye it only takes a moment of visibility to spot you, even if your a verteran hopper. Especially if they have an fps of 40 or over and a good ping. Skilled players usually get the boot for just being perceptive in this regard. Its rare to see a ghost execute perfect bhops in pubs. Those who don't do so successfully cry hack. If your running into a populated GR area in plain view, chances are your going to get killed.
-Water: You can bhop all you like along the ground, but water is your nemesis. Splashes give your location away to the point if you stop, all a gr has to do is take a steady aim to kill you.
Given all the factors above, its not all that hard for a GR to find and kill a ghost on normal circumstances. And with X-Trap in, I don't really believe there's chammers in this mode. I play on both the GR and BL side. More often than not I get kicked for figuring out how things go. Utilizing the advantages I have on the GR side. Knowing where Ghost's come and go. I'm not the best player, far from it. Just playing smart. The fact that even my noobish bunny hop can work in some matches, means its all about perception. Wouldn't take a fool of a chammer to take me out if so. Easy pickins. As said, the constant worry of hackers in GM have turned it into a child ragefest. (unless its an organized party.)
Mutation Mode:
Being fairly new, there hasn't been much issue in terms of hackers. However in many odd cases there has been a rare new one. Speed Zombie Slayer. Considering how infrequent they are, they must be the new breed of the 1 hit kills without the through walls capabilities. Able to drop a zombie from 6000 hp to 0 in a second flat with any weapon, with perfect accuracy at any range. According to reports its like shooting 500 bullets at once. I've only encountered this hack about twice from the time mutation has come out. The problem with not being able to boot players (which is understandable given the gameplay) is an issue. However, as much as it ruins the fun, it at least doesn't affect one in the long term statistically. Lucky for you, this hack doesn't seem to work in mutant mode. So take pleasure in gunning them down when you get the chance.
This about sums up the game modes and what to look for and what to note. Also, what one also has to take into consideration is that there are voice communication programs. Clan members/friends of the person in a room who've died (or even on the opposing team revealing your positions) can speak to them about enemies coming up from behind, or other things. Which also leads to wondering about hacks.
To make a note for most people, this is a game. If you think a person is hacking, don't cry for them to be kicked. Chances are they are just skilled. If you believe whole wholeheartedly about the accusation, save the replay. Send it in for investigation. Things go alot smoother then. Let the mods/game masters here determine who hacks and who doesn't. Shouting it out only ruins the fun for not only the person who most probably just doing well, but also the other players in the game. Good player's shouldn't be punished, so next time think before speaking. And before speaking, think about: "Just playing, its just a game. Let the guy have his moment, if he's a true hacker, he'll get banned for it after the game."
Sorry for the long winded post, but hey, awareness is what makes people realize whats there and what isn't.

I play this game at loud volume on 5.1 dolby surround.I can follow your footsteps through walls.People call me cham all the time but I dont let it get to me.Because I know and understand that when we run we sound like elephants stampeding around the map.It dont bother me because I know the game.I go into a room full of low ranks and get called hacker all the time.Truth is when you look at my rank there is alot of TIME put in on it.I love noobs though;)

Very nice post.
I do take some offense to the Awper's obviously rank up points thing. Awp takes loads of skill to be consistently great with it.
I'm one of those people with a "$200 pair of headphones" I have the black icemat siberias with the 3d soundcard.
Also have the Razer diamondback with the new 3g lazer :P
