Xtrap fail?
I dont understand why since Xtrap a lot of players have fps problems... Most of people have their fps cut to 1/2 of what it was. And I dont think Xtrap makes so much a better job than gameguard except for the fact it updates each week or so... Any GM could answer?

Well if you look on your process list your going to see that you have 3 processes running. One is Xtrap, another for the Game Client and the last is the monitor service. The more processes you have running the more your computer has to do. Try GameBooster to start, as this can give you a small jump in FPS, as for it dropping 1/2 the old FPS...ha. Your basing your FPS on the match your playing against others that could be lagging. Try getting in a corner of the map, then look up for 5 seconds. Then check your frame rate, then look down across the map, then see what you get. If the value drops in half then, you need to get yourself a better graphics card, if you have a graphics card, you need a new CPU or have yet to take the time to OC it.

LOL, It's not like I am that noob with computers. First GameBooster helps a lil bit but not more than 5fps. After that, I play on full SnD maps means 8v8. After that I can't OC my CPU because I dont think it's unlocked. Even if I could I won't risk my generic PSU with OC my cpu and my GPU. My Graphic Card is way better than what it takes to play the recommanded settings. And yet even if there is less hackers there still (Which is normal). Im not gonna buy a new computer for CF. its based on CS 1.5 cmon it runs slower than GTA IV runs on my computer... and putting low settings doesnt do anything. And I have the smallest processes running at once. Yes I just reinstalled my computer to see if it would work. Thanks for help.

Sorry for double Post. Btw its not everyone, but few of my friends do have that. Back in September I could play with my onboard card at 70fps not spiking down or up. After that it dropped down to 25fps average dunno why . So bought a new video card.. it ran decent 100-120fps. now its down to 30-50 fps w/e
