Patcher won't start

I've gone through everything I can think of to get this to work, but nothing is changing what happens. I load up the pre-game patcher or whatever just fine. When I click 'Start,' nothing happens. It shows the loading thing for a second and then nothing. Within my system's active processes it says that patcher_cf.exe is running. However, no patcher is visible. Nothing notifying me of any update being downloaded. I've ended the process and started again, I've rebooted my computer, I've changed security settings and done all of the previous steps. Nothing's changing the fact that I can't get the patcher to run, and I can't play CrossFire.

If anyone is able to assist me in this issue, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I patched earlyer, got on then i got off then back on it did the same thing

You are having the same problem as everyone else. You will find that if you wait long enough it will say something along the lines of 'version.ini failed to download'. Have a look at the three million other threads about the same topic before posting next time, eh?

Evidently countless people are having the same problem. the version.ini failed to initiate, apparently. I've looked for only a few minutes on the newer threads and several people have already posted this identical thing. It's a server based problem, and I'm sure the GMs will work it out in due time.

GUYS seriously stop making a new thread every to minutes. There are issues that Z8 Servers are having. Hopefully they will be rebooted soon and it should be resolved! THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH YOUR COMPUTER. Its Z8'S Issue!

maybe your firewall is blocking crossfire to start it happend to me whit a other game.
