Apperantly you have to go into the sound files and just replace it with a blank sound with the same file name to overwrite it.

that would be pointless if someone threw a nade at you, you would enver hear it coming, what you do is you get the actual file, edit it to say.... half normal volume and replace it with the modified file...

and if thet doesnt work jsut get a quieter less shouty file to replace the nade sound.

Modding those radio sounds isn't considered cheating at all? I only ask because...it seems like it gives a little advantage when you don't have to listen to that crap, and everyone else does...

Note compaired to the kill-sign changes, which don't mean a thing, since it has no direct properties to gameplay.

Changing your sounds is in no way considered cheating.


All the important sounds (like gun shots, fall damage, etc) are packaged up so MOST people can't fiddle with them without a special program.

I don't think anybody's actually figured out how to get into the archives at this point.
