Increased ping?

My ping used to be 35-37 ms and then recently it is now average 55-59 ms. With the new patch it has only made it worse (slightly) with 63-69 ms. I am just wondering whats up with the connection to the servers as I am seeing games with 80% or more with people over 100 ping ms and my ping has doubled? Im not saying right now to fix it but my main concern right now is to know why.

I'm not sure why, maybe the new patch attracting attention = (more laggers). I wouldn't be too worried about it though, anything under 100 ping should be fine.

Being from Aus I am quite used to high pings in CF (these days around 200 ), even more so when I saw the west coast server was down... However, I did not expect to have to play with a ping of 600+
I've given up trying until they can get the problem fixed (or maybe having a lower ping in the west coast server might help) as I simply cannot play.

The constant unavailability of the WCS may make me quit CF altogether. Reg & ping issues are bad as they are, we don't need the server for the rest of the world to be neglected.

Interesting you gained 30 ping...I know I've gained about 20 over the months, but not doubling like you have.

Well... as you can see.... pretty much every server is at its breaking point lol... (everyone of them is full XD)

And yes... even my CF ping increased by 30ish. Which is definitely not my inet/comp problem, coz the other games i play still show my usual ping.

so yeah... possible reasons:
1. M.M. pwns them servers... (maybe mutants require too much RAM/Hz/whatever)
2. Due to the massive amounts of players suddenly playing

Have you realised this thread is a complaint? Technical support forum? Where did you get little girl from? If you had any experience with kids, you would know boys tend to be the more disruptive ones.

My regular ping in WCS was 180, then after a few patches drifted up to 193. For one game, it went down to it's record, 170. That game, it was amazing how much of a difference it made to my playing. But now with it down, I get 300 ping. It's useless playing and my recently purchased KDR reset is now worthless as my KDR is getting destroyed easily by no bullet rego.

My ping doubles these days as well (130 -> 280), but there is an easy solution.. The problem is in connection routing to Canada, some kind of proxyswitcher can make it back:

F.e. i am using ProxySwitcher Standart, which automaticaly downloads many free proxy servers, then i pick some US (or close to canada country) ip, which make my route go through US and my ping stays normal (about 130).. It reduces my FPS a little bit, but ping is again about 130

here is my ping story; i had 250 after the new patch, it went down to 170-200 but sometimes i still have that 250.

I didn't re-download the game for the patch, is it the problem or its just z8 messing again?

I dont think it is the matter of this thread, but anyway, best for belgium is Beta UK server located in United Kingdom, but it still may have some problems (only beta version now)..
From the others, everything except West Coast is located in Canada - so Alpha,..,Delta can help as well..
But still UK server lowers your lagg a lot, so it works best for european countries..

mine ping has gone up from 39 to 43, not much but a difference, and now i moved and its usually 50 or so but goes up to 70 some games..:S
