HGW game Watcher doesnt load...

Same thing here, ive re-installed it 4 times already and nothing works! WTF! Its not like I have to put up with ***ors in game as well you know.

Same EXACT problem. HGW loads and then just sits there n my screen and does nothing. Please check this out GMs and other Crossfire people!

The logs of HGWC say "14:16:05 [Error] Socket Error : 10053"

This is that i do:
1 Download systemexplorer and install it.
2 Opem system explorer and game.
3 where hgw dont load go to system explorer search the proces and reset the process.
4 Repeat 3 util game run

I do this and go at 5 or 6 trying

same problem here! HGW game watcher is full bars but only up to that. when i alt+control+del HGWC is running! should i wait? been waiting for about 45 minutes...

Finally solved the problem!
I only started crossfire as admin and it worked 3 times until now........
Hope I won't have this problem in future

We are actively looking into the problem right now. The best we are able to tell so far is that higher than average server loads are causing problems with the HGW file check. As mentioned earlier in this thread, you can use task manager to shut down the HGWC.exe process and try to load the game again. This just worked for me perfectly.

I notice the exact same error message:
[Error] Socket Error : 10053
(The logs are written in the folder "Z8Games\CrossFire\HGWC", I think everyone with this problem gets this logmessage)

The version.ini file has the following entries though:
[HGW]
PORT=16666
SERVER1=74.200.6.161
(notice the port 16666 part...)
Could this be part of the problem?
