Why the HELL is it patching so slow

It's a little sad that with all the awkward advertising and revenue generating efforts, Z8 can't afford to host a better server farm. I know folks are buying ZP. A little more investment in HW infrastructure would not just improve these patch distros, and obviously game play, but would likely encourage more membership and more revenue...

The problem is that the amount of traffic was not anticipated. Since last night the servers have been bombarded by higher than normal traffic. The best bet for anyone right now is to use the torrent link. It may start slow, but within 5 minutes I was downloading at 800kb/s.

Ahh. But you still have to wait for the patch to download, and that is taking folks quite some time - as it is just as big as the original setup (400MB+) - or weren't you paying attention...
