Clans using the same or look alike clan mark

Hi GM:s and all,

Our clan has, in game, encountered members of other clans that have created the exact same clan mark as the one we use or a very similar mark that might be mistaken for ours. I do not know if this is a really big issue, but it is annoying to meet guys using the same clan mark. I suggest that the Crossfire Team provide us with some rules about this and to give us possibilities to make or force the last created clan to switch clan mark without having to pay for it. To be honest, I have not dug deep into this - I just want your thoughts about the topic. The downside of having two or more clans sharing the same clan mark is that if one team gets bad reputation it might strike down on the other clans.

Note: I have not created a clan myself so I have no Idea if there are certain rules or so for clan marks.

Similar names AND clantag should result in a forced removal.

Only clantag wouldn't really work - nobody pays attention to it without the name.

There are a certain amount of backgrounds, something to put on top of that, and a certain symbol/logo. Eventually you're going to meet people with the same logo, it's inevitable.

I so far haven't seen a clan which has the same mark as ours, maybe because ours isn't so logical and overused. Hence why we are the only one with it.

There is no "But we got it first, it's ours" with creating such a logo. No such thing as copyright or anything like that. You just gotta have to get used to it.

well images like the "headshot-skull" and any skull for that matter are extremely overused. as aev1tas says its inevitable for clans to have similar marks at some point. Although most of the mayor and well-known clans avoid having the same marks.

Yeah, there are tons of marks that have never been used, and then there's a select few that /everyone/ uses. The skulls? Overused. That wierd top-hat looking guy the Dons use? Also overused (seen two other clans with that one thing.) It happens.
