Are Shovels for Noobs?
I ask because I use a shovel and it's what I am used to. Every time I kill someone when I jump off say the top balcony in lab and then forward bunny hop and hit them in the head I get called a shovel noob. I'm told that you can not consider yourself pro if you use a shovel, only the axe. My question is, what is the difference here? One has a longer range yet the timing of it is slower (imo) than the axe, maybe that is just me. Aren't they one in the same as far as noobiness?
I like to think my shovel is not what makes me good but at the same time I realize how bad I would be if I went straight back to knife after using the shovel and axe for so long.

are the shovels for noobs? maybe i wont say yes or not cuz i have a shovel myself but it seems that everytime u kill with a shovel they will call u noob....
when that happends to me i get my knife out and still kill them lol
then they call me a long knife, lagger, etc haha:D
if u get kicked of a room for using a shovel get used to cuz it happends to me all the time -
Are you speaking strictly in terms of ghost mode?
For knife only, it should be what the name implies.... knife only.
For TDM normal mode, go ahead and use a shovel. Just means you have cash to burn.
For SnD, go ahead... really not going to help you imo.
EM, same as tdm.
For ghost mode.... well the GR already have the advantage. I don't see whats so wrong about the shovel / axe. I think they need to change the character animation / window of killing. Seems to me like someone hits with a shovel and then 3ish seconds later you die...
Anyways, use the shovel and just ignore kids. If you join a competative GM league / tournament which bans shovels, then (and only then) should you ever have to contemplate abandoning your axe/shovel.
Ps - thanks for buying zp and supporting this game. -

Shovel is over-ranged. If it depends on me shovel will be removed/nerfed. A friend of mine has a shovel and once I was playing with his acc at Lab. I started 6-6 until I got the timing right and then it was a massacre(more than 30-6 don't quite remember).
Shovel + Breath Down + bhop=dead GR=kind of unfair -

tbh i solve this problem by: using a knife, until i get so annoyed with the GR team (i am a headshot magnet, spray collector & nade catcher) that i pull my shovel out. i dont fail with a knife, i also get KSed a lot. so for maybe half of each GM match i will use a knife, and half a shovel.
as far as the shovel lag is concerned, i never notice. try listening for the sound of the swing rather than the animation of the swing. the sound of the swing isnt lagged, so it will give you that 1 second delay to jump or move away. -

no matter how you get a kill with a 1 hit kill with a shovel/invisble/ac/breath down/zp power ect..
you will know your self when its too easy with shovel and your like everyone else just taking the easy kill,
when you get there and want to make it alittel harder.. take off the ac/breath down/shovel
and use knife.. if not knife axe atlest..
shovel pro-dosnt miss and can take out many 3-6 ever round or whole team.
shovel noob-miss alot and thinks hes/she is pro for killing 2-4 in a row ever other round.
but in the end every one will look at as shovel-noob becuse your using money to buy the 1 hit kill.
just my thoughts. -

It's long, fast, and powerful. That's why. Left-click is as fast, if not faster then knife, and one hit does like 90 dmg, and when the shovel comes back up it attacks again, so one hit can kill.
No fair, but I'm not QQing so
Shovels have their weaknessess
Now if we can get rid of bhoppers ... -

YESH it is. -
I do get annoyed when an expert 4th genner comes in and owns my entire team with a shovel but what are ya gonna do, it's their money and they spend it to keep the game free. Just wait for them to change sides to GR, and use their weakness against them
