Ping in Canada

I was just wondering why my ping spikes up for no reason...I live in Toronto where the servers are...So why does my ping rocket skyhigh?

Usually my ping is 6-13...
Sometimes it raises up to 400-600!!!
Wdf??!?!?

My computer exceeds the Crossfire requirements by a whole lot as well.
Btw...I use Rogers High speed Internet.
I heard that Gamebooster helps lower ping...It did by 50 ping though...Didn't really help at all.
ALSO...I can't play with high lag! It lowers my K/DR.
I don't play very often..SO I HAS A LYFE...xD
I can survive without Crossfire...But I'm just wondering why this is happening..Is it my ISP's fault or is it Z8's fault...And how do I fix this?

if you have Wireless, try disabling WZC in services.msc
If you don't know what i'm talking about, google: Disable WZC

what will this actually do for yourr wireless stop the spikeing and lag together?

lulz nah, In Canada pings spike to like 400+ from like 11 till 3 for w.e reason.

me too and I live in the middle of Wisconsin and get a 32-36 ping!

I live in Quebec, and the max spike is 40... for some reason on some parts of the day it jumps from 17 to 40, but I dont see any difference.. and yes its probably your wireless

Emo...if you're not going to help me then leave.

Anything else I could do to stop the ping from spiking? Also...my friends that play Crossfire who also live in Toronto don't have the problem before three...They play before that and still maintain an average 13 ping.

Maybe you have a virus.
Maybe your comp is too loaded.
Maybe your internet connection is too slow.
Maybe your comp is too old.

WZC is a service that scans constantly for Wireless networks i think..i forgot what it does but yeah it think that's what it is. When i had spike problems , i did that and it fixed it !

I'm just saying that if your computer is perfectly working and internet is too, than it might be you who screwed up something. Modified any PC parameters recently?

(Reminds me of that dude who disabled his internet connection and was asking me why he can't google anymore...)

Actually......My computer is brand new with 6gb and quad core....Graphics and Sound are perfect....

I'll try the wireless thing as well....

I don't know what parameters are...LOL....But I didn't do anything that could harm my computer potentially...I didn't download any crap or screw around with my computer either.

My internet connection is pretty good as well..I play other games and my ping is good with not lag either...Even in high minimum requirement games. I'll also try to play after 3 and before 11 ....xD

Quad core and 6gb and 1gb graphics card..I think
I hardly have anything downloaded on my computer and I have lots of space left in my hard drives..
I don't think i have a virus...I use AVG and I scan my computer often...
CCleaner.....Registry cleaner....All of it...So I doubt my computer would have any viruses.

I play other games with good ping and their servers aren't even in Canada.
Is it Z8's fault? I never had this problem when Subagames was in charge.

I have Vista 64 bit edition home premium....

No...I'm QQing because my ping raises up to 500-600 sometimes...Which is hard to deal with when I want to play with my friends...ESPECIALLY WHEN MUTATION MODE COMES OUT!!!! xD
