Somebody please im begging for help

my computer is ****ed up..lets just start with that. it says i have viruses and need a new virus protection software. i scanned with my old virus scan and it said nothing was wrong. so i ignored it and it keeps making my desktop icons disapear and now it wont let me play crossfire!!!!!!please please please please please help me!!!

anyyways. this is what I did.

Reboot your computer and before even your explorer.exe begins to run press cntrl+alt+delete and open up your task manager. DO NOT CLOSE THIS

Search for a program called oldsynsguard.exe (the one I found) and delete it. then run a complete virus scan. Now if oldsynsguard.exe is not there go through your entire list and look for anything that seems odd or out of place

If the virus wont allow you to open your task manager in general your screwed big time.

If you can I suggest downloading Malwarebytes and running a full system scan in safe mode (It's free and absolutely the best Malware remover).
Make sure to run the scan in safe mode so that the virus does not regenerate itself.

Also can you use system restore? If so then I suggest restoring to a point before you got infected.

If nothing helps then I suggest reformatting.

I'd be a lot more help if I knew what virus/spyware/malware you were dealing with but because I don't I can only suggest general fixes.

well it says a whole bunch of different things..i asked one of my dads friends who is computer expert and he said its porbably just a company who wants you to buy their anti virus system. anyways it says things like trojans spyware and etc. its happened like 3 times before and my dad just bought the new program and it left us alone.AND HE REALLY DOES NOT WANNA PAY AGAIN.

Lol ur dad should ask his money back. These virsuscanners are big scammers. But what ramsin said is the best thing to do. What i would add is: dont start internet in safe mode, it will re-run your virusscanner.

With most scan program scams system restore point will not work.

If your dad bought the AntiVirus that was popping up then you've just been scammed because the AntiVirus itself was Malware and you should have done what I said.

Download (the free version) this on another computer, put it on a portable device like an USB or a harddrive and install it in save mode without starting internet. Run the scan (can tanke about 1 to 6 hours). After that is done it will show you the log and what is in the quarantine. Delete everything in the quarantine and then it will ask you to reboot your computer. After that is done it should have removed the malware.

If you want this to be prevented in the feature you can consider it to buy malwarebytes as it includes realtime protection.

Let us know if it worked.

No what i meant was that he shouldn't go on the internet. If Malware just update it it wouldn't matter. If this virus scanner is called personal windows defender it will reboot it. I had experience with it.

the best you could do is reinstall ure OS but also if not u can use Hitman 3.5 (free for 30 days) that program helped me out several time when nod , bitdefender and sh1t like that failed..
