This guide was put together almost 2 years ago. Since then a lot of new guns have been introduced into the game. The M60 is not as powerful as the AK and if you are 1 shot HS, then the M60 has no advantage. It is good in Hero/MM mode if you are camping and tap fire to keep the spray tight.
