Nunchaku Buff

Hello bois, gals, and tings,

On Monday I got my beautiful Nunchaku because I attended EGLx 2018. Let me start by saying that I am not complaining about the melee or anything, I love the melee. Actually, it's one of the best good looking melees I've seen in this game. Although the melee looks really nice, its performance is not the best.

I don't know the exact damage for the melee (still waiting for the review, Virus) but the melee seems to be kinda weak. If you enemy has armor, you're going to have a hard time. Most melees are one hit right click on head or torso even when they have armor, but this doesn't apply to the Nunchaku. Yeah, yeah, it has 3 hits with right click, but before you hit your second slash you're already dead because your enemy just needs to one hit you once. I mean, you can login and grab a free Kukri and easily kill someone using a nunchaku.

So my suggestion is:

•Buff the damage when your enemy has armor to 100 damage when headshotting.

•Buff the damage a bit in general. Hitting 3 times and doing 98 damage is uhm, not good.


Also, I always do more damage than most people on the room, but don't have the most kills. 63 kills and got MVP with 7700 damage.

After I tried the nanchaku I figured I might just use it for the looks since it's so hard to use.

Ha, yeah. Thing is, Axe was still good with the nerf. This weapon has no chance against most Melees used in Knife matches (specially with a free Kukri).

It is really hard to use because you can't right click and one hit them, you need to hit 2 or 3 times to kill them, while they just need to hit you once.

I know that this suggestion won't get much support because this weapon was only for people who went to EGLx, but I think people can understand how this melee is by what I wrote.

Why not? It's exclusive as well. Reminds me of the gold katana.... that melee needs to get back to its original stats. But I'm all for a buff for this melee.

Thank you for the +1's. Hopefully this gets implemented since the melee has no chance the way it is right now.

This is why I didn’t attend elgx, I only wanted the melee but knew it would be a bust .

On topic though, I'll +1 this for sure. Its pretty much Golden Glove tier bad, and even then, at least the Golden Glove can 1 shot, lul.

I mean respectfully though...the idea is that you're not going JUST because of the melee...you were going to enjoy a live event and meet fellow CF players and the GMs...the melee was a nice bonus...which consequently is why a lot of people made sure to go. lmao. but i get your counterpoint to the whole 'free' thing.

I mean never having used it myself I can't REALLY judge. But if it seriously can't kill in at least 2 hits...then it needs a buff. I have a love hate relationship with the crab claws because they, unless you hit HS (or at least since everyone has armor...) won't kill in 1 shot with their right click attack and require both hits of the attack....BUT...they do enough damage that it's a serious hit with each attack and can at least kill in those 2 hits...so IMO the nunchaku should be able to kill in it's first 2 hits regardless of a HS hit or armor.

Sometimes the weapon does very little damage, like 38 damage. Like I said in the main post, while you have to hit others 3 times, you just need to get hit once and you're dead. The melee is pretty useless in Melee match right now. Even in ZM it's bad.
