Ranked Season is roughly 6 months. Season 5 started in February, so long wait for the season to end. As for Ranked Series, it's a new way to keep the mode active as it gives the top 50 players each patch 5 New crates.

It's not 6 months for 5 crates. It's 5 crates each time their is new maintenance with New crates out. Example we get two patches each month meaning you would get 5 crates each time patch came with New gun

Those 5 crates are not officially season rewards but only additional reward each month to top 50.
