Very low fps on a notebook
Hi!
I was playing Crossfire for about a year ago on my computer. A few weeks ago I've got a notebook and installed the game on it.
But it's unplayable slow, it only has about 5-10 fps. But my notebook is much stronger, than my home PC was. It's specifications:
Intel Core2Duo 2.0 GHz
2*2 GB 800MHz RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 with 512 MB VRAM
Windows 7 Professional with all the updates.
Please help me solve the problem because I really want to play the game.
Another question: can I use custom resolution in-game? I mean my screen is 1366*768, but it's not supported...
Thanks for your answers,
Szathy from Hungary

hey
same problem is here:(((
1month ago i could play normaly, my average fps 50, but now i cant bc sometimes
when i was play my fps go down 4-5 in 20seconds!
szóval ugyanaz a gondom nekem is, kb a gépem is ugyanilyen csak vistám van de ez hülyeség amit írt a srác hogy a win7miatt lenne lassú, akkor nekem miért olyan?! -
The odd thing is, I play on a fairly old laptop with a Pentium 4 3ghz, 1gb DDR 333, and a 64mb Nvidia Geforce FX go5200 and I get an average of 60 frames per second. I can't imagine why these newer laptops would have an issue other than video drivers.
When I first got this laptop I was using the most recent drivers for the video card. After I reloaded the initial drivers that came with the system my framerate improved. -

Same thing here, I have a even better configuration than yours and my frame rate is 20 fps.

I've discovered a new abnormality. When I start the game, my processor usage is immediately raising up to 50-60% (first core almost always 100%!). It stays on that level during the game and I think it is the cause of my low fps.
Does somebody know a solution to this problem? -
First of all check that your anti-virus is not scanning.
Second press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and go to Processes and
under CPU see if the value of any of the running processes
is higher than 40+.
Note: Do not mess with any processes with the following User Name
SYSTEM
NETWORK SERVICE
LOCAL SERVICE
Now go and download Ccleaner and install it then check EVERYTHING
and click Run Cleaner.
Get the latest version of GameBooster if you don't already have it. -

The only one process with a rate of 40+ is CrossFire (as I said before).
I can handle with my Task Manager, i'm not a rookie.
I'm using CCleaner for about two years. No result in speeding up CrossFire.
I tried GameBooster too. I didn't work. -
