Instead of the messages telling whether to jump or crouch on the wave.

I feel it would be better to have the wave attacks in color instead.

Something like
Red wave to jump and blue wave to crouch.
Upon seeing the color of the waves, it would make it easier to react better to the boss attacks rather than depending on a message that trolls you most of the time.

The messages trolls me all the time.
"Crouch down!" -> Crouch down -> Boss does a low wave attack
"Jump!" -> Jump -> Boss does a high wave attack

Then there are days where the message tells the truth.

I'm not sure if we're supposed to be told what to do 100% of the time. I mean, the trolling could be intentional.
Personally, I crouch jump. I'm always crouched on that boss and when it sends a wave I can tell before it hits me, whether or not to jump(still crouched).

Actually, I just stopped reading the text below (shows way to fast for me to read it and it's distracting) and started reading on his moves instead. If you pay attention you can see that he crouches when he's going for a low wave, so that's his telltale.
