Relevant issues

So, many of you might have heard that I got banned without reason - apparently someone reported me in a ranked match and it went through that I was hacking. That's not the point though, that's being investigated and hopefully resolved.

The main issue is I'm missing out on a load of fun events, which just require something as simple as playtime. I know for a fact that I'm not the only one that's banned without reason - There's plenty more who haven't had the opportunity to resolve it like I have. While support would usually just close a ticket and say "byebye" because of the kind of people who usually send in tickets, I'm very lucky to have support on my side for this one. And for that I am thankful.

However, I still believe, as this has become a greater nuisance that it should have ever been, that I should be entitled to some kind of compensation for the nuisance. Nothing like a permanent weapon or anything, but just some time back that I've missed, for example the 12 Days Of Christmas event. Other players who have been banned for a while should get some other kind of compensation for not even having their case be looked into. Feel free to let me know what you think.

Thank you for your time - If this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it. I do see this as a discussion though, so please do not lock it immediately. Thank you! :)

arwgg feels bad man... Good luck getting ur acc back.
  • I mean yea, if someone gets unjustly banned and is later found out to have been innocent of the reason they were banned, then yes they should get some kind of compensation especially if the duration of that was during an event.
I also think a personalized "we're sorry" letter from the person in support that did the banning should be sent just for them to show some humility and for it to acknowledge that yes, they can be wrong.
  • It's no point they'll say "we have concluded the ban is final" within 30 mins of asking them to review the ban
Only exception s for actual reviews are people that are liked by the GMs or Forums, if you're disliked it's basically a go f urself from support

Hell! Is this really how it works?
  • Also, hopefully you'll get your account back, ONLY if you were NOT hacking
  • This kind of situation makes me NOT want to play the game, it's just very scary to think something lucky can end up getting your account banned forever.

I do feel like you deserve something for the lost time if that's either something perm ( I doubt it but you did get " perm " banned ) or all events during the time period of you getting banned and unbanned are cleared since you didn't have a chance to do them with fair reason.

Hopefully everything works out at the end though.

Yeah, welcome to CF it's all I've seen since 2009

Honnorable soldier ribbon added back along with the events he wasn't able to participate in would be fair

    Well.... Damn

Yeah, I've been a lucky one. The support team are investigating it, and I'm still waiting for an answer. The issue is they'll be gone over Christmas, so I'll be missing out on a LOT.

I know what you mean bro, hopefully you get unbanned prior to xmas
This is why I'm quitting for now
  • Best of luck. I hope you get unbanned soon.
  • I feel like compensation is almost definitely needed in a situation like yours.
I mean, I get that the people who run this game work hard and deserve a break but pushing out a loyal (and paying!) over the holiday is not the best idea. If they're super busy and just couldn't get around to sorting you out, or whatever the reason if you're left out to dry over the holiday week, it's not fair on you to recieve nothing back for that.
  • It's really worrying that you can get banned because of a couple lucky headshots.

Hopefully you get your account back ASAP.
  • Support doesn't ban unless they are 100% sure that you cheated and it wouldn't be fair against other people that got permanently banned for cheating. You get special treatment because the GMs know you, if they unban you they must review the other perm bans too.

Now THIS I can support, but they obviously can't review ALL the permanent bans. That would just take too much time, and there'd be no point in having a support team in the first place. I'd say check people who've contributed a lot of ZP. At least if they returned they'd probably be a valid contribution again.
The thing is, I think the support team should just take a bit more care than they have. I know it's a period of a huge hack wave, and it's easy to jump to conclusions, but mistakes are more likely to happen when things are rushed to make the larger community happy. I'm sure they'll take this on board, because they obviously know from banning me.

Anyway, thank you guys for the support! I still haven't had any confirmation back in a ticket, and if I don't get anything then it's very likely I'll have to stay banned over Christmas. Which sucks, because I'll be missing out on the weekend event for the first time ever... :(
