This is all part of Saidins master plot. Even if all he does is implement patches from the developers who cause all your problems. Theyre obviously working together to mess with your pig so your pizz. -
Try a ping test first, google it, and see if its not just crossfire but your internet. Just try it and don't argue

ive had the same problem this dudes having, but it goes like from normal ping (around 150) to 200 but it spikes like 220-200-250-300-260; if i log off and come back or if i quit and re-enter room it goes way higher, like today just quit and re-entered and it went from 300 to 350 stable no spikes, restarted game came in the same room 410 stable no spikes...wow, restarted comp started crossfire went in a room 480 stable. im like...whaaa?
and then it just comes back by itself. i checked, nufin wrong with my internetz, so i guessed its a game bug, also i get loads of game crashes after a match ends. rarely do i get to see the final scores... and i always get Dc'd after first rounds on beta so i cant realy scrim anymore..
tl;dr same problem, lag=bad, saidin plz fix mens or i quited!!!1one!!1 -
Just to clear up any confusion: latency (ping) is normally affected by the route that packets take to and from the server. That being said, there isn't a lot anyone can do to resolve the problem of high pings. It's definitely not in the coding of the patch, since my ping has stayed constant the entire time that I've been playing crossfire. If you contact your ISP let them know that you are experiencing unusually high latency to certain servers. If you're getting a 60+ ping to google then chances are your ISP is doing some bad routing somewhere.

I've been found out!
Just when I thought my master plan was going to succeed.
I've put giant rubber stoppers in the internets tubes specifically designed to increase your ping.
But in all seriousness, we've done a lot of research into what could be causing this ping related issue but haven't found a concrete answer yet. Especially for our North American people experiencing high pings. Usually the high pings are coming from other countries.
We continue to monitor the situation. And if we ever find a reason then we'll be sure to get a fix in, or let you know what the exact problem is.
