No Nothing at all just the patcher runs then xin code runs then the desktop remains as it is or the login screen appears for two seconds and back to desktop again but after 20+ try i can login but crash after 5-10 mins to desktop again without any errors -

Crashing to desktop without errors at any given time "RANDOM" Sometimes it takes several attempts to even see a log in screen.
And yeah my pc is beyond the recommended specs to run this 20th century game.
But hey support are blanking this issue to even try and help loads of QQ ppl with the same issue. -
Good job still crashing to desktop.
Edit: OK so ive uninstalled the game deleted z8games folder + C:\Users\******\Documents\Cross Fire rebooted pc used ccleaner rebooted. downloaded the fresh client installed , now here is the probglem upon intalling and patching the game it seems its not placing the crossfire folder in C:\Users\******\Documents\Cross Fire lol now im pretty much fcked cause there is no backup for the .dat files
thanks z8 your doing a real nice job making more of a mess with this game
luckily i retrieved the folder and replaced it where it seems not to place the folder where is has done for 3 years lol
Had no effect takes several times to open the game and eventually when it does it crashes again to desktop Random times.
XIGNCODE loads then closes thus leaving the CF client unable to execute leaving error less to desktop
XIGNCODEXIGNCODEXIGNCODE is the problem -
TheShadowRo wrote: »@ Rawrawraw - seriously your PC is a total mess - how you can use only one partition ? ( also windows try to restrict as much is possible the user to acces C:\ since there is windows installed - latest windows updates try to do that just a safe measure)
you should use at least two partitions C:\ only for windows - just in case sometime you need to reinstall windows (clean install - not just install over the old version) you won't loose all your files
and \ for your personal stuff and games ,
then install crossfire to \Games\ or just \Cross Fire (as you like) , before start game for the first time be sure you add game location to your antivirus exceptions ( so any new updates won't give you any errors )
P.S.
If you was installing game by keep press Next Next Next - > the default game location is C:\Program Filesx86\z8Games\Cross Fire
... and those .dat files i see in ... My Documents\Cross Fire just save your custom game settings - when you detele those .dat files - game will start with default settings and default rezolution as it start when you install for the first time on a new pc, and you only need to customize game settings as you like again ... nothing to loose ....
OFC you may do as you like in the end ... but consider is not always the other to blame for your pc settings - i don't have any game update problem since i reinstall windows 2 years ago .... -

internet connection : ADSL+ ( phone line modem) 17 mbps/ download - 1 mbps upload
1. main pc : i5 / 8 GB DDR3 / GTX 560 1 GB @ 2546 - running Win7 Ultimate x64 / Bitdefender Internet Security 2018 - last time cf installed almost 2 years ago - and running after each game update with no errors
2. service pc (not for gamming) : amd x64 / 4 GB DDR2 / ATI Radeon HD 2400 256 MB / Win 7 Home x64 / no antivirus - can run CF and updates after each patch with no problems (can't really play - is too old and slow - but is just for testing is handle to run game, i can login and join rooms)
2. notebook HP: Pentium N3510 / 4GB DDR3 / Intel HD GPU / windows 10 Pro / Bitdefender 2018 - even this one is clearly not for play games - still can start CF and run after each update (just tested today)
So i run this game on 3 hardware config - even my main pc is not latest gamming config BUT game still can update an run on all of those ... so my conclusion is the problem is on your end, most like outdated windows or drivers (i elimitate a virus infection from start and suppose you just fresh install windows).... if is not that - then you should look at your hardware , CPU and GPU temp ... can't think of any other reason your PC freeze on game loading else then your CPU/CPU reach high temp.
This guys is not the only one facing the problem i do have this problem too me and my clan mate we had this problem like 3 days ago and for me my windows and my drivers are updated so it's not his pc problem it's a Cf problem which they should fix -
