Whats up with my ping? o.o

Since I started playing this game I had 110 ping, or less, but in the last week something changed, now my ping is 170+. I didnt changed NOTHING on my computer or my network. Idk whats happening but is annoying, I cant kill nobody lol. Just a while ago I was playing S&D and I emptied the WHOLE clip on him and guess what o.o NO DAMAGE! WOOT?

Nope. Im connected directly to the modem and no1 else use that network, just me.

Play knife and sniper matches killing is easier with ping lag

Your ISP limited? Could be over your usage. I dunno. I have the same, though. Started with 103 ping now I'm 140-190. But also a stable FPS has a big impact on the no damage thing.

It's most likely because of where you are located, your probably far away from the server you are joining thus increasing your ping making you lag.

Either that or too much RAM is being taken up, try downloading and running GameBooster, it shuts down unnessicary programs freeing up available RAM and then starts them back up when you're done using it.

Gamebooster won't do anything when your "ping' is concerned. Try shutting off any peer-to-peer software and make sure NO ONE has a peer-to-peer software open on your network. Make sure your ethernet card works properly. Try changing your current card with another one(Any other will work) to see if it's hardware related problem.

Also scan your pc with good anti malware softwares such as MalwareByte and Spybotr S&D.

Im from Venezuela (South-America).
I had 120 ping or less since I started playing.
I didnt make any changes on my pc, network, ISP, etc.
This is getting annoying. I cant play.

hey, im from australia and i play on west coast server, my ping is usly around 190, the lowst i got was 170 in west coast

i dont lag a bit.

but if i go to alpha,bravo etc.. my ping is up around 240+

and i hardly lag there to but i like to play on west coast =]

they should make a server for each continent

so we dont lag heaps

yeah im from the UK and my ping is either really good or really bad.... when i started i got to around 130 (march 2009)
after the last patch its gone as low as 97 and usually flies up to 600-700... which is really irritating

be connected to a moden instead of wireless connection is always faster. but your high ping could be do to multiple programs running or to many downloads. just a thought X.x

Using wireless shouldn't make a big difference. I've played both over wireless and over wired connections and noticed no change in my ping. Check to see if you have any processes running in the background that hog bandwidth, or if you have any other computers in your household that may be downloading and such. You should also check to see if your current internet plan suits your needs, and that your ISP does not traffic shape in a way that badly effects you.

Well, as I said before, nothing changed on my pc, ISP, etc. and I always close every program including anti-virus, instant messaging, etc. So, it shouldnt be a change on my ping.

I play all this time with ping 165 to 190. Finnaly, at last 2 weeks i got ping 145 - 150 and I´m happy. So, now you can see how hard is to play with European ping
