Shouldn't have doubted SV and EVA Team's performance was underwhelming ...
I guess the champions this year will be SV and 2nd place is going to be interesting between BD, HG and PM providing that they don't get eliminated in the quarter and semifinals by SV ... -

Flipsid3 Tactics but the real test will be the semifinals where it will be BO3 with the consistently strongest international teams since STDX hasn't been challenged so far ...
STDX won't be able to have the same advantage against other teams like they did with SV in group stage by studying them for straight six months! Even if STDX does get paired up with SV again, we're talking about the same team who recently lost an invitational only to deny that very same team's CFS wildcard spot who won that invitational! -
EU with so much deeper of a player pool, getting invited to all the LANs, etc, etc. Imagine if our region wasn't completely dead. Imagine if we actually had people to practice against. Think about how good carbw0w looked against stdx, after just one month of practice. Same with GetBrikt, once they adjusted, they were able to beat top EU teams quite consistently
All the trash I've been talked to in twitch chat, about how much EU is better, and NA doesn't stand a chance. I hope all of you feel really stupid.
EDIT: Also, congrats to STDX. Hard work pays off, hope you guys get that sweet $500k, it would've been amazing. -
Semifinals:
EVA vs STDx
Macta vs SV
Is anyone still awake to watch the semi finals? Three strong teams (HG, F3, RuLegends) have been eliminated. IMO every match from now on is worth watching since these teams have proved themselves a lot throughout the tournament. -
Soon we'll truly know just how strong STDX is ...
If SV manages to beat Pacific Macta like they did in CFGI 2017 then they are going to be formidable in the finals regardless ...
If STDX loses against EVA Team then the tournament has already been decided but if STDX does manage to beat EVA Team then there might be a chance at championship after all ...
As for Europe or Flipsid3 in particular they are clearly in absolute disarray without phaze. Europe performed very well in the last 3 CFS tournaments and coincidentally phaze had participated in all of them. After this tournament is finished, Flipsid3 needs to be disbanded for good cause they haven't been performing for over a year now ... -
STDX has failed to secure grand finals but on the other hand I'm not so sure just how strong EVA Team is ...
Dare I say it, they could even be competitive with Pacific Macta or even Super Valiant Gaming!
Now all that's left is Pacific Macta vs Super Valiant Gaming ... -
I do not think EVA Team will be able win against SV without a strong offense in maps such as Black Widow, Mexico and Port ...
As for 3rd/4th place match, I think Pacific Macta is going to come out on top. There's only so many teams that STDX can stalk before they give out ...
Black Dragons deserved so much more in this tournament since they put up a very good performance in CFSI 2017 and it must be extremely disheartening for Pacific Macta since they wanted to achieve more than 3rd place but luck wasn't on their side when facing against SV ... -

CFPL and the chinese national finals aren't the only big tournaments that allow for VIPs and OP weapons. The philippines CFEL and national finals also allow OP weapons and VIPs in the former and we can see how Pacific Macta wrecked EVA Team, KOWAI and will probably go on to annihilate STDX ...
Pacific Macta may have been the second strongest team but we'll never truly know since Black Dragons got eliminated early on which was another team that ripped EVA Team to shreds last month during CFSI 2017 ... (would've been awesome to see PM vs BD but whatever)
Rip NA dream once again but those were some insane matches, exciting to watch for sure. Still a great job making it to top 4 now take that 3rd place tomorrow! Categories
