Killmarks
Let us mod killmarks again. New killmarks that suits our liking not only makes the game more enjoyable but less boring of the same stuff you see everyday. I'm suggesting this for the best of CF so hopefully you take this into deep consideration and not let hacks (or whatever reason) get in the way of our enjoyment.
I was inspired to suggest this by viewing old CF videos/montages on youtube. so again, please make CF more enjoyable and give us back this ability.

I suppose you limited us from changing kill marks maybe to protect us from infected files with keyloggers or hacks etc... just say that you do not recommend doing this but still give us the ability to do so.
Sites like VirusTotal and tons of sites exist for a reason. Seeing the same thing over again becomes stale.

+1 all the way.
These little ways to custom our Crossfir to be different from others made it feel a bit more special just knowing that you could fully pimp out your Crossfire and brag about it lol. But with that newest AK VIP having it's own killmark once a certain amount of kills have been done on that gun is giving me a feeling that that's going to be the way the killmarks will work from now...
Just give us custom killmarks, it's something that made a lot of people enjoy Crossfire. -

We weren't really modding the files but just changing the images in the folders for the KillMarks and replacing them with our own... -
Well.. It's rly an awesome idea but tbh that's how hackers infiltrate into the game from the beginning

The idea isn't about the image but making the game like an open source that could be modified from anyone like sounds and killmarks. that's how hackers open a back door in game files or smth like that. and that's why Z8 Games made these REZ files to compress sensitive files in it.

So... changing the .jpg's and the .mp3's will create an open source? Huh? -
Why not give the client the "choice" to load killmarks from 2 sources? One "killmark" folder directly inside the crossfire folder, which is something that can be changed by others and only a specific format is allowed inside it, and the usual safe REZ. If a different format than the allowed one is noticed by the client it will load from REZ but otherwise it will first try to load from said killmarks folder. If the folder doesn't exist or there is nothing inside it or killmarks are missing they will be taken from REZ. Like this the REZ files don't need to be changed and only a specific format is allowed. I have yet to see someone creating a game cheat in an image format.

I think he's trying to say how if you open one door up, it normally leads to other entrances being opened. i.e. if they stop the checking for modified REZ files, then people will mod the ones they're not supposed to (as used to happen a LOT) and then it's a downwards spiral, it's an all-or-nothing type scenario, and I'd prefer to use the standard killmarks than when people used to mod the files to have see through walls//solid coloured walls//increased ghost breathing sounds etc. -
Killmarks werent before in REZ files, anyone could change some png images with what they wanted, toghether with login background and ingame lobby , black market, etc visual style. But they got moved into REZ files (bad move but $ is $ for them) and now it appears they release themed killmarks (cant say more about this, look it up) so I would definately say a +1 on this but let's be realistic for a second and realize that sadly, this wont happen
