Rememeber Sub Assault [TDM] ?

It's not gone but I just saw a room playing it and I just remembered how different that map is lol, like honestly did the creative map team leave and get replaced cause that map was so different with you being underwater and could be pushed onto the ship.

I wouldn't mind more maps that were not 100% boots on the ground but not so much on the no-gravity 100% maps cause those just make me feel sick.

    Rifenry xD
  • I personally love the Sub Assault TDM map. Its such a new concept and it allowed for multiple levels of play.

Adding vertical versatility seems like too much a good thing though, as the same maps (that being Ship or Egypt) are preferred for TDM regardless of any new or awesome gimmicks that other maps have.
  • old cf when we played all the creative maps and this is one of the maps that was hundred of them in the one server

I'll let you off with a warning.

That's true, I think any new map get's quickly shadowed by older maps like the recently new S&D map which is really great and could easily be one of the best S&D maps we have ( since it's a complete copy of a good map from CSGO... ) has been less common to find due to EE being so famous still. It's quite sad since I would love to play maps with new gimmicks that make the map differ from the others but like what you said, the map would mostly be gone in a few days once people go back to the other maps.

I remember when people used to play that Sniper Map with the 2 long runaways on the left and right and a huge middle ground lol map so dead I can't even remember what it was even called.

I'd rather not be right, but it sucks that I was. I'm kinda bored of the popular maps, and whenever I play on other maps, it feels great.

I remember when I played that snowy TDM map (the fact I can't remember its name says enough by itself) back when we had those Halloween riddle for crates event, and I was surprised that map wasn't more popular. There are a lot of really good maps that, like you said, are overshadowed by the popular maps. Maybe opening more rooms that have other maps might make people play a wider variety of them.

LOOOOOOL I know what snowy map you are talking about, that map was so dumb how you could throw a nade from your spawn to their spawn but I would love to play that map again.

I think maybe I have an idea to fix this issue cause there are many maps that need to be shown more of a light and come on let's be honest, does anyone want to play EE and BW all day? It get's boring so quickly and I can see why games usually don't give people a strong ability to pick what maps to play on since people will love 2 and will be happy staying with those 2 for the rest of the lives and won't bother trying anything else.

At this point there really isn't any point of new maps...

edit: Snow Valley was the name of it. I actually could remember the name just thought it sound hella stupid... and it does.
  • I personally just don't seem to click with Water Levels, be it CrossFire or the Zelda Water Temple.

Something about them just makes me not like them, perhaps it's the movement which tries to emulate "being underwater", I guess.

I am not a big fan either but I like different vibes throughout the maps. Once you've played the same map 100 times, anything feels better.

    I miss Power Plant tbh

    OMG I MISS THAT MAP!

That map felt big to me, but it was just so fun and plus it gave reason to why the Tutorial level told you that jumping into water saved you from Fall Damage.

I'll make some Power Plant rooms tomorrow when I come home from work I guess. Probably UK4 (It's roughly 11:45 PM here)
