What are your Black Market Superstitions?
Just a dumb little thread to pass the time while maintenance is on. Also, in anticipation of all those juicy ZM crates we've been grinding for the past week I thought it was appropriate.
So, let's hear your BM habits! Do you use auto spin or avoid it completely? Do you wait till the 47th minute of every third hour to spin? Maybe you spin one at time, or buy 100 and open em all at once?
What are your weird and silly crate opening methods, forumers!?
Also, what do you absolutely NOT do and why?
Lately I've been saving my GP till I have enough for 50 Calico crates and then I just let the auto-spin fly! When I do ZP crates though, depending on how much ZP I have I only buy 10 at a time, spin them, if I don't win (which is most of the time :P) I buy another 10. I usually just use auto-spin.

To thank RNGesus after winning a perm weapon.
Some guys told me once while in Resort HMX, to open crates when the chat bar starts announcing a lot of people winning perm items. That means the chances of winning must be higher.
Read some guy's comment about opening them around 2-4PM.
Back then I use to buy up to only 30 gp crates. Now since I gotten a lot of VIPs, I do 50 gp crates. (Won Calico, C7A2, Winchester)
Won R93 T2 by buying 1 crate each time I have at least 2k gp to spend. Took a super long time. Might've spent over 200k gp doing it this way. -
i use to wait till 12am Canadian time or right after a patch and spin for a few minutes and if i dint win anything try again in a hour and repeat, also when it was the old black market would spin 2/3 of the way first then half way.
i haven't tried with the new crate spinning yet.. so i don't know might steal someone else way :P -
I open 20 "I don't need anything from these" ZP Crates until I reach Luck Increase thingy and then open 1 ZP Crate that has something I want in it. Won IAS-TrickNTreat that way; so happy about that.
I only do auto spins on GP crates, because going through hundreds of crates at a time manually is annoying; and pressing spin myself on ZP crates, because I feel there's more valued stuff in ZP crates, even if it might be something I'm never using, like Christmas weapons. -

If I'm spinning a small amount I autospin with the window on my second screen, if I have a large number of crates (100+) I leave them autospinning with CF in windowed mode, sound off, and minimised while I do other things.
It doesn't seem to affect my win rate whatsoever.
Also time has nothing to do with it I'm sure. The link provided (While also almost 3 years old) states the chance to win is ~52%? (It might just be lost in translation since I don't read chinese, so disregard this point if it is) That seems very unlikely. It would also be an unreasonable amount of work to create a system which alters win rates dependant on time, and completely unfair to other countries in other timezones. The time thing imo is a myth, and until we get solid evidence or say-so from an insider, it will stay that way. -

Yeah, I'd agree that link isn't worth considering. I had to auto-translate it too, but the gist was "Spin crates at 2pmEST" and it's probably just that more weapons are won around that time because more people are online opening crates since it's when people in EU are done work/school etc, and there's probably a decent amount of NA players on around then as well.
It's feasible that at RANDOM times throughout the day chances of winning go up, just because wins seem to happen in big chunks. Like, you won't see any wins for a while, then BOOMBOOMBOOM wins flood in all of a sudden. But yeah, pinpointing when those times are going to be is impossible. -

Yea I’m avoiding the auto-spin bcs it gets nothing but only those low gp.
I spin 8-8:30pm or midnight IT Time. But usually I prefer to spin if there’s ppl winning from the lobby.
I even tried to an in game room and spin there, I must say, sometimes it works.
I won 3 weaps last September. Oct and Nov isn’t my lucky months, I hope my luck gon come back this Dec. lmao!
